The AirTAC Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ16X100-20SB is a double acting, adjustable stroke DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø16mm bore and 100mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACEJ16X100-20SB (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
This discontinued AirTAC ACPJ16X100-20SB is a double acting compact cylinder with an adjustable extend stroke: a stop screw trims the 100 mm stroke by up to 20 mm, giving a usable 80-100 mm range. At 0.5 MPa it pushes 100.5 N and pulls 75.4 N, rising to 140.7 N at 0.7 MPa. The 100 mm stroke exceeds the 75 mm standard maximum for bore 16, so it is a made-to-order build. The male rod thread (B code) and the fitted -S magnet for CMSE / DMSE switches are both on this unit.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into cramped fixtures and sliding guards. A practical sizing rule: about 60 N of that 100.5 N push is realistic working force at 0.5 MPa, which lifts roughly 6 kg vertically - halve it for a 2:1 margin and you can safely handle about 3 kg parts. The ACPJ line is no longer produced; the current drop-in is ACEJ16X100, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

The 100.5 N push at 0.5 MPa seats a light clamping pad on aluminium die-cast housings in a compact machining fixture, with the 20 mm window letting you trim the grip point without re-drilling.
Because the -S magnet is fitted, CMSE or DMSE switches confirm extend and retract on a small inspection slide, trimming the 100 mm stroke down to 80 mm where the gauge block sits.
On a pharmaceutical packaging line, the male-threaded rod drives a kicker that pushes finished blister cards off a narrow conveyor, where the short body fits under the guard rail.
For this 100 mm stroke job, bore 16 gives 100.5 N push at 0.5 MPa. If your load is lighter, bore 12 delivers 56.5 N; if you need more, bore 20 reaches 157.1 N. Note the adjuster is a mechanical end stop only - on air loss the piston drifts, so it never holds a load mid-stroke. The -20 code means an external stop screw shortens the extend stroke by up to 20 mm, so the rod travels anywhere in an 80-100 mm window; it cannot extend past the ordered 100 mm. This unit carries the optional -S magnet, so CMSE / DMSE switches mount directly, and the B code gives a male rod thread. The 100 mm stroke is a made-to-order length since bore 16 tops out at 75 mm standard.
