The AirTAC Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ16X100-30B is a double acting, adjustable stroke DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø16mm bore and 100mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACEJ16X100-30B (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
This double acting ACPJ16X100-30B is a discontinued DIN-standard compact cylinder with a 30 mm adjustment window: a stop screw trims the 100 mm extend stroke down to 70 mm on site, so one cylinder covers a 70-100 mm working range. The 16 mm bore delivers 100.5 N push and 75.4 N pull at 0.5 MPa (140.7 N push at 0.7 MPa), with a theoretical peak of 20.5 kgf at 1.0 MPa. Its hard-anodized aluminium body is about 50% shorter in mounting length than an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight jigs and gantries where a full-length body will not fit.
The 100 mm stroke exceeds the 75 mm maximum standard stroke for bore 16, so this unit is made to order. The B code gives a male 8 mm rod thread, and the port is M5x0.8. No magnet is fitted (the -S code is the optional magnet for CMSE / DMSE switches). For current production, order the ACEJ16X100, the ISO 21287 drop-in successor in the same bore, stroke and force class - confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping. As a rule of thumb, plan on about 60 N (roughly 6 kg of vertical lift with a 2:1 margin) of real work at 0.5 MPa rather than the full rating.

The 70-100 mm adjustable range lets one cylinder clamp varying part heights on a machining fixture, with 100.5 N push at 0.5 MPa enough for light clamping of aluminium blanks.
A 100 mm stroke pushes small cartons or blister packs off a conveyor lane; the short ISO 21287-class body fits under low guard rails where a profile cylinder cannot.
With about 6 kg of vertical lift at a 2:1 margin, the 16 mm bore raises small sample trays or reagent holders in compact analytical equipment.
Size between bores: the 12 mm bore gives 56.5 N push at 0.5 MPa, while the 20 mm bore reaches 157.1 N - pick the 16 mm when your load sits near 60 N. The stop screw is a mechanical end stop for the extend stroke, not a mid-stroke lock, so the piston still drifts if air is lost; do not use it to hold a load. Mounting is FA/FB flange or LB foot, with I/Y rod knuckles available for the male rod thread. If you need position sensing, order the -S magnet variant; this B-coded unit has none. Replacement: ACEJ16X100 (confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions).

A fixed TPU bumper decelerates the piston at both ends.
