The AirTAC Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ16X110-30SB is a double acting, adjustable stroke DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø16mm bore and 110mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACEJ16X110-30SB (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
The ACPJ16X110-30SB is a double acting compact cylinder with an adjustable extend stroke: the -30 stop screw trims the 110 mm stroke by up to 30 mm on site, giving a usable range of 80-110 mm. At 0.5 MPa the 16 mm bore delivers 100.5 N push and 75.4 N pull, rising to 140.7 N at 0.7 MPa. Its short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight fixtures and guarding where a full-length body cannot. Note the 110 mm stroke exceeds the 75 mm standard maximum for bore 16, so this is a made-to-order stroke.
This model carries the optional -S magnet, so CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches can be mounted directly for end-of-stroke signalling, and the B code gives a male rod thread on the 8 mm rod. A fixed TPU bumper at each end decelerates the piston; it is a pad, not a brake, so on air loss the piston still drifts. The ACPJ family is discontinued - the current-production replacement is the ACEJ16X110, same bore, stroke and force class, but confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping since the ACP was built to a DIN standard. As a planning figure, budget about 60 N (0.6 x the 100.5 N rating) of real work at 0.5 MPa, which lifts roughly 5 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin.

Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).
On a small CNC jig the 30 mm window lets one cylinder clamp parts from 80 to 110 mm tall; the 100.5 N push at 0.5 MPa is enough for light plastic or thin aluminium brackets.
With the -S magnet fitted, CMSE switches confirm each 80-110 mm extend stroke before a carton is released, and the male rod thread takes a knuckle for a pusher plate.
The short body fits inside a benchtop press frame where an ISO 15552 profile cylinder would be about twice as long, delivering 140.7 N at 0.7 MPa for connector seating.
Size by force: at 0.5 MPa the 16 mm bore pushes 100.5 N, while a 12 mm bore gives 56.5 N and a 20 mm bore gives 157.1 N - step up to 20 mm if your jig needs more than about 60 N of working force. The 30 mm window suits stations where one cylinder body serves several product widths between 80 and 110 mm. Match FA/FB flange or LB foot mounts and I/Y rod knuckles to the ISO 21287 face, and order CMSE/DMSE switches only because this -S model includes the magnet. For new designs, specify the ACEJ16X110 instead: this ACPJ is discontinued.
