The AirTAC Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ16X110-40B is a double acting, adjustable stroke DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø16mm bore and 110mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACEJ16X110-40B (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
This ACPJ16X110-40B is a double acting compact cylinder with an adjustable extend stroke: a stop screw trims the 110 mm stroke by up to 40 mm, giving a usable 70-110 mm range. It is discontinued; the current-production replacement is the ACEJ16X110, which matches the same bore, stroke and force class - confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping, since the ACP series follows the DIN-standard footprint. The 110 mm stroke exceeds the 75 mm maximum standard stroke for the 16 mm bore, so it is made to order.
At 0.5 MPa the bore delivers 100.5 N push and 75.4 N pull (140.7 N and 105.6 N at 0.7 MPa, 20.5 kgf theoretical maximum at 1.0 MPa). In practice plan on roughly 60 N of usable push at 0.5 MPa, which lifts about 5 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. The hard-anodized aluminium body is about 50% shorter than an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight jigs and gantries. A fixed TPU bumper sits at both ends, the rod carries a male thread (B code), and no magnet is fitted - the optional -S code is required for CMSE / DMSE switch sensing.

Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).
The 70-110 mm adjustable window lets a molding shop tune the eject throw per mold, with the 60 N usable push at 0.5 MPa clearing lightweight parts from shallow cavities.
A food-packaging conveyor can use the male-thread rod to drive a pusher arm, trimming the stroke on site to match carton widths while running at 30-500 mm/s.
The short body fits inside compact analytical instrument frames, and the stop screw lets a technician dial the index distance between 70 and 110 mm without reprogramming.
Size both ways: if 100.5 N push at 0.5 MPa is more than your jig needs, the 12 mm bore gives 56.5 N; if you need more, the 20 mm bore delivers 157.1 N. Note the adjuster is a mechanical end stop for the extend stroke only - it does not hold a load if air is lost. Mount with FA/FB flanges or LB feet, and order the -S variant if CMSE / DMSE position sensing is planned. For new builds, specify the ACEJ16X110 instead.
