The AirTAC Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ16X110-50S is a double acting, adjustable stroke DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø16mm bore and 110mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACEJ16X110-50S (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
The ACPJ16X110-50S is a double acting compact cylinder with an adjustable extend stroke: the -50 stop screw trims the 110 mm stroke by up to 50 mm on site, giving a usable range of 60-110 mm. Air pushes the piston out and pulls it back, so no spring is involved. At 0.5 MPa the 16 mm bore delivers 100.5 N push and 75.4 N pull, rising to 140.7 N push at 0.7 MPa. The short ISO 21287-class body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight jigs and guarding where a full-length body will not fit. A fixed TPU bumper sits at both ends.
Note that the 110 mm stroke exceeds the 75 mm maximum standard stroke for bore 16, so this unit is a non-standard, made-to-order build. The 110 mm length also means the -S magnet is fitted, so CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches can be clamped anywhere along the body for end-of-travel signals. For planning, treat roughly 60 N (about 6 kg lifted) as the practical working force at 0.5 MPa rather than the full 100.5 N rating. This model is discontinued: the current-production replacement is the ACEJ16X110, and buyers should confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping, since the ACP is DIN-standard.

Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).

A short-body cylinder trims connector crimp or snap-fit presses inside a slim gantry, using about 140.7 N push at 0.7 MPa for small plastic components.
Size the bore by load: if 100.5 N push at 0.5 MPa is marginal, step up to bore 20 for 157.1 N; if the load is light, bore 12 gives 56.5 N at lower air use. Keep in mind the stop screw is a mechanical end stop only - on air loss the piston still drifts, so it is not a mid-stroke lock or load-holding brake. FA/FB flanges and LB feet bolt to the standard face, and I/Y rod knuckles suit the M4x0.7 female rod thread. Order the -S code (as here) whenever CMSE / DMSE switches are needed. For new designs, specify the ACEJ16X110 instead - same bore, stroke and force class, currently in production.

No - the ACPJ family is discontinued. The current-production drop-in is the ACEJ16X110 (swap the P for an E): same 16 mm bore, 110 mm stroke and force class in an ISO 21287 short body. Because the ACP is DIN-standard, confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping. This unit carries the optional -S magnet, so CMSE / DMSE switches mount directly; the port is M5x0.8.
