The AirTAC Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ16X120-10S is a double acting, adjustable stroke DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø16mm bore and 120mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACEJ16X120-10S (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
Double acting and adjustable, the ACPJ16X120-10S is a DIN-standard compact cylinder with a 16 mm bore and a 120 mm stroke that a stop screw can trim by up to 10 mm, giving a usable extend range of 110-120 mm. At 0.5 MPa it pushes 100.5 N and pulls 75.4 N, rising to 140.7 N at 0.7 MPa. The short ISO 21287-class body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into tight jigs and gantries. Note the 120 mm stroke exceeds the 75 mm standard maximum for bore 16, so it is a made-to-order stroke.
Because the -S code is in this model, the optional magnet is fitted, so CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches can be mounted directly on the hard-anodized aluminium body. The rod is 8 mm with a female M4x0.7 thread, the port is M5x0.8, and fixed TPU bumpers sit at both ends. As a planning figure, about 60 N of that 100.5 N push is realistic work at 0.5 MPa, which lifts roughly 3 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. This model is discontinued; the current drop-in is the ACEJ16X120, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).
The 100.5 N push at 0.5 MPa is enough to kick finished caps or bushings off a mold table, and the 10 mm trim lets the operator tune the eject distance between 110 and 120 mm without shimming.
With the fitted -S magnet, a DMSE solid-state switch confirms the gate reached the trimmed end position, and the short body fits inside the guard where a full-length profile cylinder would not.
About 60 N of usable force at 0.5 MPa presses RJ45 or fiber inserts into housings, with the fixed TPU bumper softening the end of each 110-120 mm cycle at 30-500 mm/s.
Size both ways before ordering: the 12 mm bore gives 56.5 N push at 0.5 MPa, while the 20 mm bore delivers 157.1 N, so the 16 mm at 100.5 N sits between them for light clamping and positioning. Remember the stop screw only shortens the extend stroke within the 10 mm window and is not a mid-stroke lock - on air loss the piston still drifts, so add a separate holding valve if the load must stay put. FA/FB flanges, LB feet and I/Y rod knuckles bolt to the standard face, and the fitted -S magnet pairs with CMSE/DMSE switches. Order the ACEJ16X120 as the current-production replacement.
