The AirTAC Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ16X125-10 is a double acting, adjustable stroke DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø16mm bore and 125mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACEJ16X125-10 (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
This double acting ACPJ16X125-10 is a DIN-standard compact cylinder with a 16 mm bore and a 125 mm stroke, trimmed by a 10 mm adjustment window: a stop screw shortens the extend stroke on site to any length from 115 mm to 125 mm. At 0.5 MPa it pushes 100.5 N and pulls 75.4 N; at 0.7 MPa those rise to 140.7 N and 105.6 N, with a theoretical ceiling of 20.5 kgf at 1.0 MPa. Note the 125 mm stroke exceeds the 75 mm standard limit for bore 16, so this is a made-to-order build. The ACPJ family is discontinued - the current-production drop-in is the ACEJ16X125 in the same bore, stroke and force class.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into narrow fixtures and machine guards. A practical sizing rule: plan on about 60 N (roughly 6 kg) of real work at 0.5 MPa, or about 5 kg of vertical lift with a 2:1 margin. The hard-anodized aluminium body carries an S45C hard-chrome rod with a female M4x0.7 thread, fixed TPU bumpers sit at both ends, and no magnet is fitted - the optional -S code is what enables CMSE / DMSE switch sensing. Operating range is 0.15-1.0 MPa (22-145 psi) at 30-500 mm/s.

Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).
The 100.5 N push at 0.5 MPa is enough to strip light aluminium stampings off a die, and the 10 mm trim lets the operator dial the ejector travel between 115 and 125 mm to clear the part without overtravel.
The short body fits the tight envelope beside a cartoning head where a full-length profile cylinder will not, and the 125 mm stroke swings a product gate clear of the lane at 30-500 mm/s.
A 75.4 N pull at 0.5 MPa retracts a sample tray into its home position, and the female M4x0.7 rod thread takes a knuckle or bracket directly for the linkage.
Bore 16 delivers 100.5 N at 0.5 MPa. Step down to bore 12 (56.5 N) for lighter clamping, or up to bore 20 (157.1 N) when the load grows. The adjuster is a mechanical end stop for the extend stroke only - it does not hold a load if air is lost. Match FA/FB flange or LB foot mounts to your fixture, and if position feedback matters, order the -S variant so CMSE / DMSE switches can be fitted. For new designs, specify the ACEJ16X125 instead and confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.
