About the Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ16X15-20
The ACPJ16X15-20 is a double acting compact cylinder with an adjustable extend stroke: a stop screw trims the 15 mm stroke within the ordered 20 mm window, so the usable range is 0-15 mm. At 0.5 MPa it pushes 100.5 N and pulls 75.4 N, rising to 140.7 N at 0.7 MPa. The hard-anodized aluminium body keeps the mounting length about 50% shorter than an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into tight jigs and guarding where a full-length body will not fit.
As a rule of thumb, plan on about 60 N (roughly 6 kg of thrust) of real work at 0.5 MPa instead of the full rating; vertically that corresponds to lifting about 5 kg with a 2:1 margin. A fixed TPU bumper sits at both ends, and the female M4x0.7 rod thread takes standard I/Y knuckles. Note that this model is discontinued: the current-production drop-in is the ACEJ16X15, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

Mounting uses FA/FB flanges or LB feet on the ISO 21287 face, and position sensing needs the optional -S magnet code (this unit has no magnet, so no CMSE / DMSE switch can be fitted). For new builds, order the ACEJ16X15 instead.
