The AirTAC Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ16X150-50S is a double acting, adjustable stroke DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø16mm bore and 150mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACEJ16X150-50S (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
This is a double acting, adjustable-stroke compact cylinder in the discontinued AirTAC ACPJ family. The 16 mm bore delivers 100.5 N push and 75.4 N pull at 0.5 MPa, rising to 140.7 N push at 0.7 MPa, with a theoretical peak of 20.5 kgf at 1.0 MPa. The -50 code gives a 50 mm adjustment window: a stop screw trims the extend stroke anywhere in a 100-150 mm range on site, so one cylinder covers several jig positions. The 150 mm stroke exceeds the 75 mm standard maximum for bore 16, so it is a made-to-order build. This model carries the optional -S magnet, so CMSE / DMSE reed or solid-state switches can be fitted for end-of-stroke sensing.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which matters in tight guards and slide fixtures. A hard-anodized aluminium body with an S45C hard-chrome rod, fixed TPU bumpers at both ends and a 30-500 mm/s speed band round out the spec. A practical sizing rule: at 0.5 MPa plan on about 60 N of usable push, which lifts roughly 5 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. Note that ACPJ is discontinued - the current-production drop-in is the ACEJ16X150, and you should confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).
The 100.5 N push at 0.5 MPa is enough to kick light moulded clips off an ejector plate, and the 100-150 mm adjustable range lets one cylinder serve several mould heights.
A pusher paddle on the M4x0.7 female rod thread deflects bottles between lanes; the -S magnet with a CMSE switch confirms the retract position before the next bottle arrives.
Moving a 5 kg-or-less sample tray vertically fits the roughly 60 N usable push at 0.5 MPa, and the compact short body slots into instrument frames where a full-length profile cylinder cannot.
Size against neighbours: the 12 mm bore gives 56.5 N push at 0.5 MPa, while the 20 mm bore reaches 157.1 N, so 16 mm at 100.5 N sits mid-range for light clamping and slide duty. The stop screw only shortens the extend stroke within the 50 mm window and does not hold a load - on air loss the piston still drifts, so add a separate lock if position must be retained. FA/FB flange and LB foot mountings bolt to the standard face, and this -S version already carries the magnet for CMSE / DMSE switches. For new designs, order the ACEJ16X150 instead, since ACPJ is discontinued; verify ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before the swap.
