The AirTAC Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ16X40-20 is a double acting, adjustable stroke DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø16mm bore and 40mm stroke, M5×0.8 air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ACEJ16X40-20 (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
Double acting and adjustable, the ACPJ16X40-20 is a discontinued DIN-standard compact cylinder with a 16 mm bore, 40 mm stroke and an M5x0.8 port. At 0.5 MPa it pushes 100.5 N and pulls 75.4 N; at 0.7 MPa those rise to 140.7 N and 105.6 N, with a theoretical maximum of 20.5 kgf at 1.0 MPa. A stop screw trims the extend stroke anywhere inside the 20 mm window, so the usable extend range is 20-40 mm, and a fixed TPU bumper sits at both ends.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into tight jigs, guarding and small gantries. As a planning rule, count on roughly 60 N of real work at 0.5 MPa, enough to lift about 5 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. No magnet is fitted on this version; the optional -S code adds one for CMSE / DMSE switches. Production has ended - the current drop-in is the ACEJ16X40, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

For new builds, order the ACEJ16X40 instead, which matches this bore, stroke and force class.

The ACPJ family is discontinued - the current-production replacement is the ACEJ16X40, a drop-in in the same bore, stroke and force class.
