About the Airtac ACPJ Adjustable Compact Cylinder ACPJ16X40-40SB
A double acting compact cylinder with an adjustable extend stroke, the ACPJ16X40-40SB carries a 16 mm bore, 40 mm stroke and a 40 mm trimming window, so the stop screw can set any extend length from 0 to 40 mm on site. At 0.5 MPa it pushes 100.5 N and pulls 75.4 N; at 0.7 MPa those rise to 140.7 N and 105.6 N, with a theoretical peak of 20.5 kgf at 1.0 MPa. The male rod thread (B code) suits knuckle and tooling plates that bolt directly to the rod.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into cramped jigs and guarding where a full-length body cannot. Because the -S magnet is fitted on this model, CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches can be added for end-of-stroke sensing. Note this model is discontinued: the current-production replacement is the ACEJ16X40, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.
