AirTAC has phased out the MAL series. The drop-in replacement is ASE100X10 — same bore, stroke, output force, port and mounting, so it fits the same application. Simply order the ASE100X10 in place of this model. The ACE replacement is a current-production ISO 21287 compact cylinder in the same bore, stroke and force class, with a matching short body and the same mounting-accessory family, so it fits the same envelope. Confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before ordering.

The AirTAC Airtac ASP Single Acting Guided Compact Cylinder ASP100X10 is a single acting, push (spring return) DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø100mm bore and 10mm stroke, 1/4" air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ASE100X10 (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
Single acting push cylinder with spring return: air extends the 25 mm rod and the spring retracts it, so the ASP100X10 runs on one air line and rests normally retracted. In the 100 mm bore class it delivers 3640.7 N of push at 0.5 MPa (5211.5 N at 0.7 MPa), already net of the spring, and needs just 0.2 MPa to overcome the return spring. Note this model is discontinued; the current-production successor is the ASE100X10.
The short ISO 21287-style body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it suits tight press fixtures and clamping bridges. As a working figure, plan on about 2180 N of real push at 0.5 MPa, enough to lift roughly 185 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. A fixed TPU bumper sits at both ends, the hard-anodized aluminium body carries a 1/4" port, and the female M16x1.5 rod thread is standard.

Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).
The 3640.7 N push at 0.5 MPa clamps aluminum castings in a short-stroke drilling fixture, and the spring retracts the tool clear the moment air is dropped.
A 10 mm kick is all a mold gate ejector needs; the compact body bolts where a full-length profile cylinder would not fit.
Springs hold the flap down at rest, and 0.2 MPa of air lifts it only while the carton passes under the head.
At 3640.7 N push at 0.5 MPa this 100 mm bore is the top of the range; step down to the 80 mm bore (2316.2 N) if the load is lighter and space is tight. The 10 mm stroke is a standard offering for this bore. Because the spring returns the rod on air loss, the cylinder cannot hold a mid-stroke position - it always drives home to retracted. Add the optional -S code if you need CMSE or DMSE switches, otherwise no magnet is fitted. For new projects, order the ASE100X10 and confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.
