The AirTAC Airtac ASP Single Acting Guided Compact Cylinder ASP100X20S is a single acting, push (spring return) DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø100mm bore and 20mm stroke, 1/4" air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ASE100X20S (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
Single acting push cylinder with spring return, the AirTAC ASP100X20S extends its 25 mm rod with air and retracts on the spring, so one air line is all the plumbing it needs. At the 100 mm bore it delivers 3640.7 N of push at 0.5 MPa (5211.5 N at 0.7 MPa), already net of the spring, and it starts moving from just 0.2 MPa. The short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into tight press fixtures and guarded stations. This model is discontinued; the current-production replacement is ASE100X20, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.
Practical sizing: treat about 2184 N (roughly 0.6 of the rated push) as the usable working force at 0.5 MPa, which corresponds to lifting about 222 kg vertically - halve that to around 111 kg for a 2:1 margin on real part weights. The body is hard-anodized aluminium with an S45C hard-chrome rod, fixed TPU bumpers sit at both ends, and because this unit carries the -S code the magnet is fitted, so CMSE / DMSE switches can be mounted for end-of-stroke detection. Speed range is 50-500 mm/s.

Size both ways before ordering: the 80 mm bore gives 2316.2 N at 0.5 MPa if your load is lighter, while this 100 mm bore's 3640.7 N suits heavier clamping or pressing. Remember the spring drives the rod home whenever air is lost, so it will not hold a mid-stroke position. FA/FB flange, LB foot and CA/CB clevis mounts bolt to the standard face, and the fitted -S magnet accepts CMSE / DMSE switches. Order ASE100X20 as the current drop-in successor.
