This model is discontinued
AirTAC has phased out the MAL series. The drop-in replacement is ASE32X10 — same bore, stroke, output force, port and mounting, so it fits the same application. Simply order the ASE32X10 in place of this model. The ACE replacement is a current-production ISO 21287 compact cylinder in the same bore, stroke and force class, with a matching short body and the same mounting-accessory family, so it fits the same envelope. Confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before ordering.

The AirTAC Airtac ASP Single Acting Guided Compact Cylinder ASP32X10 is a single acting, push (spring return) DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø32mm bore and 10mm stroke, 1/8" air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ASE32X10 (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
A single acting push cylinder with spring return, the ASP32X10 extends its 12 mm rod with air and retracts it with a built-in spring, so only one air line is needed. The 32 mm bore delivers 352.5 N of push at 0.5 MPa (513.4 N at 0.7 MPa), already net of the spring, and it needs just 0.2 MPa to overcome the spring. This model is discontinued; the current-production replacement is ASE32X10, same bore, stroke and force class.
The short ISO 21287 body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into tight jigs and guarding where a full-length body will not fit. In practice, plan on about 212 N of usable push at 0.5 MPa, which lifts roughly 18 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. The hard-anodized aluminium body carries a fixed TPU bumper at both ends, and the female M8x1.25 rod thread takes standard I/Y knuckles. If you need position sensing, order the -S code for the optional magnet, then CMSE or DMSE switches will mount on the body.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC ACP datasheet (now discontinued). The ASE32X10 (ISO 21287) carries the same bore/stroke/force class; confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before installation. Rod type: female thread (blank) or male thread (B). Thread options: PT (blank) / G.
| Pressure | Push force (spring return) |
|---|---|
| 0.5 MPa | 352.5 N |
| 0.7 MPa | 513.4 N |
Single-acting push: air extends the rod; the return spring retracts it. Forces already net the spring; minimum working pressure is 0.2 MPa.
| ASP | DIN compact cylinder (single-acting push, spring-return, discontinued). |
|---|---|
| 32 | Bore size in mm. |
| ×10 | Stroke length in mm. |
| S | Optional built-in magnet for sensor position sensing (omit for no magnet). |
| B | Rod type: B = male thread; blank = female thread. |
Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).
A 10 mm stroke is enough to swing a clamp arm over a machined aluminium bracket; 352.5 N at 0.5 MPa holds the part firmly while drilling.
One air line extends the rod to nudge a small carton off a conveyor stop, and the spring retracts it the moment the valve vents.
After a CNC milling cycle, the rod pushes a finished bushing out of its nest; about 212 N of working force clears the part without marring it.
Size up or down by force: the 25 mm bore gives 210.1 N at 0.5 MPa, while the 40 mm bore reaches 556.8 N, so ASP32X10 sits mid-range for clamping and ejecting tasks around 200-350 N. Remember the spring drives the rod home on air loss, so it will not hold a mid-stroke position. Match FA/FB flange, LB foot or CA/CB clevis mounts to your fixture, and add -S only if CMSE/DMSE sensing is required. Before ordering, confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions on the ASE32X10 replacement.
Replacement checklist
At 0.5 MPa it pushes with 352.5 N, and at 0.7 MPa with 513.4 N, both already net of the return spring. Working pressure is 0.2-1.0 MPa (28-145 psi) with 1.5 MPa (215 psi) proof, and the minimum 0.2 MPa is what it takes to beat the spring. Speed range is 50-500 mm/s, fluid is air filtered to 40 um, and temperature spans -20 to +70 C.
The ISO 21287 short body cuts about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it fits shallow pockets and tight fixtures. Sensors are not ready out of the box: the magnet is the optional -S code, and only with -S ordered can CMSE or DMSE switches be fitted. This model is discontinued, so confirm ISO 21287 dimensions on the ASE32X10 drop-in replacement.
