This model is discontinued
AirTAC has phased out the MAL series. The drop-in replacement is ASE32X10S — same bore, stroke, output force, port and mounting, so it fits the same application. Simply order the ASE32X10S in place of this model. The ACE replacement is a current-production ISO 21287 compact cylinder in the same bore, stroke and force class, with a matching short body and the same mounting-accessory family, so it fits the same envelope. Confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before ordering.

The AirTAC Airtac ASP Single Acting Guided Compact Cylinder ASP32X10S is a single acting, push (spring return) DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø32mm bore and 10mm stroke, 1/8" air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ASE32X10S (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
The ASP32X10S is a single acting push cylinder with spring return: air extends the 12 mm rod and the built-in spring retracts it to the home position, so only one air line is needed. At 0.5 MPa this 32 mm bore delivers 352.5 N of push already net of the spring, rising to 513.4 N at 0.7 MPa, and it starts working from just 0.2 MPa. The S code means the optional -S magnet is fitted, so CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches can be clipped straight onto the body for end-of-stroke signalling.
This is a DIN-standard compact body in hard-anodized aluminium with an S45C hard-chrome rod and fixed TPU bumpers at both ends, and the short build saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder - ideal for tight jigs and guarding. In practice, plan on roughly 211 N (about 21 kg) of usable push at 0.5 MPa, which vertically lifts around 18 kg with a 2:1 margin. Note this model is discontinued: the current-production drop-in is the ASE32X10, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC ACP datasheet (now discontinued). The ASE32X10S (ISO 21287) carries the same bore/stroke/force class; confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before installation. Rod type: female thread (blank) or male thread (B). Thread options: PT (blank) / G.
| Pressure | Push force (spring return) |
|---|---|
| 0.5 MPa | 352.5 N |
| 0.7 MPa | 513.4 N |
Single-acting push: air extends the rod; the return spring retracts it. Forces already net the spring; minimum working pressure is 0.2 MPa.
| ASP | DIN compact cylinder (single-acting push, spring-return, discontinued). |
|---|---|
| 32 | Bore size in mm. |
| ×10 | Stroke length in mm. |
| S | Optional built-in magnet for sensor position sensing (omit for no magnet). |
| B | Rod type: B = male thread; blank = female thread. |
Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).
A 10 mm stroke and 352.5 N push at 0.5 MPa suits quick staking or marking of small aluminium brackets on an assembly bench, with one solenoid valve and one air line.
On a packaging line, the spring return clears the pusher from the belt path the moment air is lost, and the fitted -S magnet with a DMSE switch confirms the retract position each cycle.
The compact body, roughly half the length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, slots into clamping pockets in a small stamping fixture where a full-length body would not fit.
Size the job both ways: if 352.5 N at 0.5 MPa is more than you need, the 25 mm bore gives 210.1 N; if you need more, the 40 mm bore reaches 556.8 N at the same pressure. The 10 mm stroke suits short clamp or eject moves, and the female M8x1.25 rod thread takes standard I/Y knuckles. Remember the spring drives the rod home on air loss - it will not hold a mid-stroke position. FA/FB flange, LB foot and CA/CB clevis mounts bolt to the same face, and CMSE/DMSE switches work because this unit carries the -S magnet. Order the ASE32X10 as the current replacement.
Replacement checklist
It is a single acting push, spring-return cylinder: push is 352.5 N at 0.5 MPa and 513.4 N at 0.7 MPa, both already net of the return spring. Working pressure is 0.2-1.0 MPa (28-145 psi) with a 1.5 MPa (215 psi) proof pressure, minimum 0.2 MPa to overcome the spring, speed 50-500 mm/s, air filtered to 40 um, and -20 to +70 C operation. Port is 1/8" (PT), rod thread is female M8x1.25.
Order the ASE32X10: swap the P for an E and you get the current-production ISO 21287 compact cylinder in the same 32 mm bore, 10 mm stroke and force class. The ASP is DIN-standard, so verify the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping, and remember the -S magnet on this unit is what allows CMSE / DMSE switch mounting.
