This model is discontinued
AirTAC has phased out the MAL series. The drop-in replacement is ATE63X25 — same bore, stroke, output force, port and mounting, so it fits the same application. Simply order the ATE63X25 in place of this model. The ACE replacement is a current-production ISO 21287 compact cylinder in the same bore, stroke and force class, with a matching short body and the same mounting-accessory family, so it fits the same envelope. Confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before ordering.

The AirTAC Airtac ATP Single Acting Port Compact Cylinder ATP63X25 is a single acting, pull (spring return) DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø63mm bore and 25mm stroke, 1/8" air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ATE63X25 (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
A single acting pull cylinder with spring-extend return, the ATP63X25 uses its 63 mm bore to deliver 1320 N of pull at 0.5 MPa (1903.2 N at 0.7 MPa), both figures already net of the return spring. Air filtered to 40 um works between 0.2-1.0 MPa (28-145 psi), with 1.5 MPa (215 psi) proof pressure, and rod speed spans 50-500 mm/s. The hard-anodized aluminium body carries a 16 mm S45C hard-chrome rod with a female M10x1.5 thread and a 1/8" port.
The short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, which is why it slots into tight machine frames and gantry heads. At 0.5 MPa the net pull converts to about 134 kgf, so halving for a 2:1 margin means this cylinder lifts about 67 kg vertically. A fixed TPU bumper sits at both ends, and the optional -S magnet (not fitted on this code) is what enables CMSE / DMSE switches. This model is discontinued; the current-production drop-in is the ATE63X25 - confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC ACP datasheet (now discontinued). The ATE63X25 (ISO 21287) carries the same bore/stroke/force class; confirm mounting-interface dimensions against the ACE datasheet before installation. Rod type: female thread (blank) or male thread (B). Thread options: PT (blank) / G.
| Pressure | Pull force (spring return) |
|---|---|
| 0.5 MPa | 1320.0 N |
| 0.7 MPa | 1903.2 N |
Single-acting pull: the spring extends the rod; air retracts it. Forces already net the spring; minimum working pressure is 0.2 MPa.
| ATP | DIN compact cylinder (single-acting pull, spring-return, discontinued). |
|---|---|
| 63 | Bore size in mm. |
| ×25 | Stroke length in mm. |
| S | Optional built-in magnet for sensor position sensing (omit for no magnet). |
| B | Rod type: B = male thread; blank = female thread. |
Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).
Retracts a light hold-down platen out of a benchtop press nest when air is applied, with the spring keeping it lifted clear at rest.
Pulls a reject gate open on a beverage filling conveyor, the 1320 N net pull at 0.5 MPa handling the gate linkage weight.
Draws a flap guide back on a case packer so boxes pass, spring return resetting the guide whenever air pressure drops.
Size against real pull figures: the 50 mm bore gives 775 N at 0.5 MPa while the 80 mm bore reaches 2159.1 N, so the 63 mm at 1320 N sits squarely between for medium clamping and retract jobs. Remember the spring only returns the rod to its extended home - it will not hold a mid-stroke position on air loss. Bolt it on with FA/FB flange, LB foot or CA/CB clevis hardware, and add the -S code if CMSE / DMSE sensing is planned. Since ATP is discontinued, order the ATE63X25 as the current equivalent.
Replacement checklist
It is a single acting pull cylinder: the spring extends the rod and air retracts it. Net of the spring it pulls 1320 N at 0.5 MPa and 1903.2 N at 0.7 MPa. Working range is 0.2-1.0 MPa (28-145 psi), proof 1.5 MPa (215 psi), speed 50-500 mm/s, bore 63 mm, stroke 25 mm, rod 16 mm with M10x1.5 female thread, 1/8" port, and a fixed TPU bumper at both ends.
Order the ATE63X25, the current-production ISO 21287 successor made by swapping the P for an E. It matches the same bore, stroke and force class and drops into the same short-body envelope, but confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions against your fixture before the swap since the ATP was built to a DIN-standard compact format.
