The AirTAC Airtac ATP Single Acting Port Compact Cylinder ATP80X10SB is a single acting, pull (spring return) DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø80mm bore and 10mm stroke, 1/4" air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ATE80X10SB (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
The ATP80X10SB is a single acting pull cylinder of DIN-standard compact design: a spring extends the 20 mm rod and compressed air retracts it, so the unit rests normally extended and fails to the extended position when air is lost. At 0.5 MPa it delivers 2159.1 N of pull net of the spring (3101.6 N at 0.7 MPa), which works out to roughly 1295 N of usable force if you plan at 60% of rating - about 110 kg lifted vertically with a 2:1 margin. Minimum working pressure is 0.2 MPa (28 psi) to overcome the spring, within a 0.2-1.0 MPa (28-145 psi) band.
The hard-anodized aluminium body with an S45C hard-chrome rod saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so an 80 mm bore fits clamping stations and press fixtures too tight for a full-length body. This model carries the optional -S magnet, so CMSE or DMSE reed and solid-state switches can be mounted for end-of-stroke signalling, and the B code gives a male rod thread with a 1/4" PT port. Note the ATP family is discontinued - the current-production drop-in is the ATE80X10, so confirm ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before you swap.

The spring holds the clamp open and air pulls the 20 mm rod to release a machined housing; 2159.1 N at 0.5 MPa handles the wedge linkage without a larger bore.
Normally-extended behaviour means a lost-air fault leaves the gauge slide retracted home, and the fitted -S magnet with a DMSE switch signals the retracted position to the PLC.
A short 10 mm pull lifts the hold-off pin between carton cycles at 50-500 mm/s, and the fixed TPU bumpers quiet the ends of travel in a tight frame.
Size the bore against your real pull need: at 0.5 MPa the 63 mm bore gives 1320.0 N while this 80 mm bore gives 2159.1 N, and the 100 mm bore reaches 3395.3 N if you need more. Keep the 10 mm stroke short - it is well inside the standard range for this bore - and remember the spring only returns the rod to its extended home, it will not hold a mid-stroke position. FA/FB flange, LB foot and CA/CB clevis mounts bolt to the same face family, and the -S magnet is already fitted on this code. Order the ATE80X10 as the current replacement.
