The AirTAC Airtac ATP Single Acting Port Compact Cylinder ATP80X5 is a single acting, pull (spring return) DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø80mm bore and 5mm stroke, 1/4" air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ATE80X5 (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
A single acting pull cylinder with spring return, the ATP80X5 keeps its 20 mm rod extended by a spring and retracts it with compressed air, so it fails to the extended home position if air is lost. At 0.5 MPa it pulls 2159.1 N net of the spring, rising to 3101.6 N at 0.7 MPa, and it needs at least 0.2 MPa to overcome the spring. The 5 mm stroke suits short clamping or release moves at 50-500 mm/s. Note this model is discontinued; the current-production replacement is the ATE80X5 (swap the P for an E), which matches the same bore, stroke and force class.
The hard-anodized aluminium body with an S45C hard-chrome rod is a short ISO 21287 compact build that saves about 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it fits tight machine frames and guarded stations. Because the body is so short, plan on roughly 1295 N (about 130 kg) of real work at 0.5 MPa rather than the full 2159.1 N rating, and expect it to lift about 110 kg vertically with a 2:1 margin. Fixed TPU bumpers decelerate the rod at both ends, the port is 1/4", and the rod end carries a female M12x1.75 thread. No magnet is fitted on this code, so no switch can be mounted; order the -S variant if you need CMSE or DMSE sensors.

Mounted by FB flange inside a guarded enclosure, the cylinder keeps a safety latch extended whenever plant air drops, satisfying the interlock logic without a lockout valve.
Size against the numbers: the 80 mm bore pulls 2159.1 N at 0.5 MPa, while a 63 mm bore in the same family manages 1320.0 N and a 100 mm bore reaches 3395.3 N, so step up or down depending on your release or unclamp load. Remember the spring returns the rod to extended on air loss and will not hold a mid-stroke position, so do not use it to park a load. Mounting brackets in the FA/FB flange, LB foot and CA/CB clevis family bolt to the standard face, and the optional -S magnet enables CMSE / DMSE switches. Before ordering, confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions of the ATE80X5 replacement, since this ATP is a DIN-standard compact body.
Replacement checklist

Order the ATE80X5, the current-production ISO 21287 successor: swap the P for an E and you get the same 80 mm bore, 5 mm stroke and force class in a short compact body that saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder. Confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions against your fixture before swapping, because the ATP was built to a DIN-standard compact pattern. Also note the rod thread is female M12x1.75 and the port is 1/4" on both models.
