The AirTAC Airtac ATP Single Acting Port Compact Cylinder ATP80X5B is a single acting, pull (spring return) DIN-standard tight/compact air cylinder with a Ø80mm bore and 5mm stroke, 1/4" air ports and a hard-anodized aluminium body. This model is discontinued — the current-production replacement is the ATE80X5B (ISO 21287 ACE), in the same bore, stroke and force class.
This is a single acting pull cylinder of the DIN-standard compact family: a return spring holds the 20 mm rod extended, and compressed air retracts it. The 80 mm bore delivers a net pull of 2159.1 N at 0.5 MPa (3101.6 N at 0.7 MPa, spring already deducted), with a minimum working pressure of 0.2 MPa needed to overcome the spring. The short ISO 21287-class body saves roughly 50% of the mounting length of an ISO 15552 profile cylinder, so it slots into cramped clamping fixtures and machine frames. This model is discontinued; the current-production replacement is ATE80X5.
Because the spring is always working against the air side, plan your load around about 1295 N of usable force at 0.5 MPa rather than the full rating - that is roughly 132 kg of real work capacity. In vertical terms the rod can lift about 220 kg at 0.5 MPa, or about 110 kg with a 2:1 margin, which is a practical ceiling for a 5 mm eject or clamp move. The hard-anodized aluminium body carries a fixed TPU bumper at both ends, the S45C rod ends in a male thread (the B code), and the 1/4" port suits the 80 mm bore. No magnet is fitted on this version, so position switches cannot be mounted; order the -S code if you need CMSE / DMSE sensing.

Replacement mapping (swap P for E): ACP→ACE, ASP→ASE, ATP→ATE, ACPD→ACED, ACPJ→ACEJ. ACP-family: ACP (double acting), ASP / ATP (single acting push / pull), ACPD (double rod), ACPJ (adjustable stroke).
The spring pushes finished blanks out of a shallow die cavity on the up-stroke; air retracts the rod so the next blank can load. 2159.1 N at 0.5 MPa clears steel parts in a 5 mm move.
Normally-extended spring clamping on a CNC jig: air pulls the clamp arm back for loading, and a power or air failure leaves the workpiece clamped in the safe extended state.
A short 5 mm stroke holds carton flaps down at a gluing station; the compact body fits under a low guard where a full-length cylinder will not.
Size the job two ways: if 2159.1 N at 0.5 MPa is more than you need, the 63 mm bore pulls about 1320 N at the same pressure; if you need more, the 100 mm bore reaches about 3395 N. Remember the spring returns the rod to its extended home position on air loss and will not hold a mid-stroke setting. Mounting brackets (FA/FB flange, LB foot, CA/CB clevis) bolt to the standard face, and the optional -S magnet enables CMSE / DMSE switches if you reorder. Since this unit is discontinued, spec the ATE80X5 as the drop-in and confirm the ISO 21287 mounting dimensions before swapping.

Also note the -S magnet is an option on the replacement if you need CMSE / DMSE switch sensing.
