It is crucial to distinguish this 5500 N holding force from the cylinder thrust; the clamp only maintains a static position, whereas the pneumatic thrust moves the load, generating up to 5497 N at 0.7 MPa. The lock engages strictly after the rod has stopped moving and cannot act as a brake. Furthermore, the variable air cushion at the stroke ends only decelerates the piston, leaving the actual load holding entirely to the clamp mechanism.

For safe operation, balance the air pressure on both sides of the piston before releasing the clamp, otherwise the rod may jump abruptly. Safety-critical applications require an independent external holding measure. This replacement single-rod unit features PT ports, a 1/2 inch cylinder port, a separate G1/8 enclasp port, and accepts Basic, FA, FB, CA, CB, CR, LB, TC, TCM1, or TCM2 mounts. The M20x1.5 rod thread provides robust side-load resistance.
