Description
1. Reed sensors utilize magnets or electromagnets to generate a magnetic field, which actuates the reed switch inside the sensor to open or close the circuit.
2. This deceptively simple mechanism can reliably control circuits across a wide range of industrial and commercial applications.
Installation guidelines:
Mount parallel to cylinder axis with 0.5-2mm air gap between sensor face and magnet.
Use M3 mounting screws with anti-vibration washers. For optimal performance,
maintain ambient magnetic field strength below 80kA/m.
Maintenance note:
Avoid using near strong electromagnetic sources (transformers/motors).
Clean sensing surface with isopropyl alcohol - abrasive cleaners may damage
the nickel plating. Perform annual contact resistance check (max 100mΩ).
