The N code letter sets an NPN 3-wire output, and the E-profile body clips into the sensor groove of a magnet-equipped AirTAC cylinder to report piston position. Supply is 5-30 V DC and the standard housing carries an IP64 rating. The C08 token in the wiring position is a factory connection code that our catalogue does not decode; we will confirm the exact termination from the datasheet on request.
Because this is a 3-wire design, the supply pair and the signal lead are separate: the sensor sinks a clean logic level into the PLC input rather than passing its small leakage current through the load, as a series 2-wire loop does. That difference shows up on machines where many cylinder positions are scanned in quick succession. Profile E is a fit code, not a performance grade - it must match the groove machined into the cylinder body, so send the cylinder series with your RFQ for verification. Without the factory magnet option on the piston, the switch senses nothing.

The split is electrical, not quality. Solid-state DMS and EMS are DC-only and suit modern PLC inputs; the reed-based CMS switches a much wider window, so it is the one for AC circuits, relay logic and older panels. The RW (IP68) option exists on DMS and EMS only.
