The AirTAC Airtac DMSG Electronic Sensor DMSG-100 is a genuine DMS magnetic position switch. It senses the magnet ring in a pneumatic cylinder's piston and signals when the piston reaches that point, giving a 2-wire output on 10-28 V DC with a 10 m flying lead. It only works on a cylinder that carries a piston magnet.
An electronic, solid-state position switch in a body whose G profile is shaped to seat in the sensor groove of a matching AirTAC cylinder. Output is 2-wire, wired in series with your load like a conventional contact, on a supply of 10-28 V DC. The 100 wiring code means a 10 m flying lead, and the housing carries IP64 protection against dust and splashes.
Because this is a 10 m lead rather than a connector, you can route the cable back to a distant control cabinet and trim it to length at the terminal block. Solid-state switching gives a clean, bounce-free transition each time the piston passes. The switch only produces a signal when a magnet-equipped cylinder (the -S magnet option) reaches it; confirm the G profile against your cylinder's groove before ordering.

2-wire versions run 10-28 V DC; NPN / PNP 3-wire versions run 5-30 V DC. IP64 as standard. Order the RW version where coolant, washdown or constant cable flexing is present. Switching distance, response time, current rating, voltage drop, LED behaviour, contact life, weight and dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

We do not hold the full profile-to-cylinder-series table, so confirm the profile letter against your cylinder model before ordering — send us the cylinder part number and we will check the fit.
The split is electrical, not quality. Solid-state DMS and EMS are DC-only and suit modern PLC inputs; the reed-based CMS switches a much wider window, so it is the one for AC circuits, relay logic and older panels. The RW (IP68) option exists on DMS and EMS only.

A 10 m lead reaches the electrical cabinet at the far end of a fertilizer bagging line, letting the switch signal end-of-stroke to the PLC without junction boxes.
On a pallet AS/RS crane, the long lead runs down the mast to the base controller, flagging full retract of the clamp cylinder.
End-of-stroke check for a gate cylinder that diverts bottles between two lanes of a filling-plant conveyor.
Choose 2-wire when you want the simplest hookup: it drops in series with the load and suits relay logic or many PLC cards, accepting small leakage current in the off state. If the PLC input prefers a dedicated signal, the same G body exists as a 3-wire NPN (N) or PNP (P) version. A 10 m lead is the longest standard length, ideal when the cabinet sits far from the machine; M8 or M12 connector variants are better where you unplug during service. If the cable runs through washdown or a moving drag chain, the -RW build lifts protection to IP68. The G profile must match the cylinder groove - send the cylinder series to confirm.
Quick checklist
Use the F-MQ bracket on round-body cylinders and F-ACT on tie-rod cylinders where there is no groove to seat the switch. Both are ordered separately from the switch. Switching distance and mounting dimensions come from the factory datasheet — ask us for the sheet that matches your cylinder.
It is an electronic (solid-state) switch with 2-wire output, supplied from 10-28 V DC, protection rated IP64, and fitted with a 10 m flying lead. The G profile selects the body that matches the sensor groove of the cylinder.
A 2-wire model wires in series with the load just like a mechanical contact, so installation is simple, though a small leakage current flows when off. The 3-wire DMSG-N or -P types give the PLC input a cleaner switched signal, but you must match NPN or PNP to the input card.
