About the Airtac DMSGS Electronic Sensor DMSGS-P020
The DMSGS-P020 is AirTAC's PNP 3-wire electronic switch for cylinder position feedback. It senses the magnet built into the piston of a suitable AirTAC cylinder and sources a positive signal to the controller. Power comes from a 5-30 V DC supply, the 020 wiring is a 2 m flying lead you can cut to length, and the general-type body carries IP64.
PNP (sourcing) outputs are the default expectation on most European PLC input cards, so this model usually wires straight into the input with no interposing relays. The G profile letter governs only one thing - whether the switch seats correctly in your cylinder's groove - so confirm the fit against your cylinder series rather than assuming any G-series match.

Is the Airtac DMSGS Electronic Sensor DMSGS-P020 the Right Switch?
Go 3-wire PNP when your input card sources current and you want a dedicated signal line instead of a 2-wire switch in series with the load. The 2 m flying lead is the simplest termination: strip, ferrule, and land it on a terminal block, trimming the tail if the run is short. If leads get replaced often or the sensor sits where service access is awkward, an M8 or M12 connector version may suit better. The cylinder must include the magnet option, and the G profile must agree with its groove.
