The AirTAC Airtac DMSH Electronic Sensor DMSH-P100 is a genuine DMS magnetic position switch. It senses the magnet ring in a pneumatic cylinder's piston and signals when the piston reaches that point, giving a pnp 3-wire output on 5-30 V DC with a 10 m flying lead. It only works on a cylinder that carries a piston magnet.
DMSH-P100 is a solid-state DMS sensor from AirTAC that reads the piston magnet inside a magnet-option cylinder. The P stands for a PNP 3-wire output and 100 for a 10 m flying lead - the longest lead in the range, chosen when the control cabinet is far from the machine. It runs on 5-30 V DC and, as a general-type unit, is rated IP64.
A 10 m lead is a routing specification, not a shortcut: it lets you run wiring away from hot zones and moving parts without splices or extension joints. The profile letter H dictates which cylinder groove the body seats in, so match it to your series and confirm the exact fit with us.

2-wire versions run 10-28 V DC; NPN / PNP 3-wire versions run 5-30 V DC. IP64 as standard. Order the RW version where coolant, washdown or constant cable flexing is present. Switching distance, response time, current rating, voltage drop, LED behaviour, contact life, weight and dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| H | Profile letter: the mounting / groove type that fits a particular cylinder body. This family offers E, G, H, J. It is a fit code, not a performance grade. |
| P | Output: PNP 3-wire. Blank is 2-wire, N is NPN 3-wire, P is PNP 3-wire. |
| 100 | 10 m flying lead. 020 / 030 / 050 / 100 are 2 / 3 / 5 / 10 m flying leads; M08 and M12 are M8 / M12 connector versions. |

We do not hold the full profile-to-cylinder-series table, so confirm the profile letter against your cylinder model before ordering — send us the cylinder part number and we will check the fit.
The split is electrical, not quality. Solid-state DMS and EMS are DC-only and suit modern PLC inputs; the reed-based CMS switches a much wider window, so it is the one for AC circuits, relay logic and older panels. The RW (IP68) option exists on DMS and EMS only.

A distribution centre's diverter arm needs a stroke-confirmation signal back to the WMS-linked PLC before the next parcel is released.
In a press shop, it reports that the sheet-feed cylinder has completed advance so the press can cycle safely.
A palletizer's layer-push cylinder uses the sensor to confirm full extension, squaring each layer before the next is stacked.
Choose DMS electronic types like this one when your circuit is DC and the input card expects PNP (sourcing) signals; a CMS reed switch suits AC or mixed-voltage panels instead, though its mechanical contact has a finite life. Compared with a 2-wire switch in series with the load, a 3-wire PNP output feeds the PLC input directly for a crisper signal. Ten metres of flying lead suits distant cabinets; an M8 or M12 connector version is better where sensors are swapped often. Fit requires the correct groove profile and a cylinder with the built-in magnet.
Quick checklist
Use the F-MQ bracket on round-body cylinders and F-ACT on tie-rod cylinders where there is no groove to seat the switch. Both are ordered separately from the switch. Switching distance and mounting dimensions come from the factory datasheet — ask us for the sheet that matches your cylinder.
Type: electronic (solid-state). Output: PNP 3-wire. Supply: 5-30 V DC. Wiring: 10 m flying lead. Protection: IP64 general type. All values come from the AirTAC catalogue; sensing distance and response time are not published there, so confirm any extra figures from the datasheet.
A long flying lead is cut to length and routed around hot zones or moving cable tracks without adding joints. If you need to unplug the sensor for fast service swaps, an M8 or M12 connector version is the better choice.
