Is the Airtac DMSJ Electronic Sensor DMSJ-NC12 the Right Switch?
Choose the DMSJ-NC12 when your control circuit is built around NPN (sinking) PLC inputs - the 3-wire format needs the polarity matched to the input card, and it runs on 5-30 V DC.
