About the AirTAC GC300-15 FRL Unit (GC30015ALN)

GC30015ALN is a genuine AirTAC GC three-unit F.R.L. combination: a separate air filter, pressure regulator and lubricator, each installed as its own module in the line. This 300-size set is supplied with a PT1/2 port, an automatic drain on the filter bowl, the standard 40 um filter element and no pressure gauge (N). The L suffix marks the low-pressure type, intended for circuits that run below standard line pressure. All bowls are polycarbonate at this size, the medium is compressed air, and the set works from -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). Max working pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi).

AirTAC builds the GC series in 200, 300, 400 and 600 sizes with 1/8 in through 1 in ports, a choice of G (BSPP) or NPT threads as catalogue options, automatic, manual or differential-pressure drains, 5 um (W) or 40 um filtration, and gauge variants. Flow for the GC series is published as curves rather than a single rating, so we confirm the datasheet and sizing figures on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. The combination has no separate bracket code — the three units couple together with their own mounting hardware. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

15Port size PT1/2". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
ADrain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)).
LLow-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
NNo pressure gauge (N).
(blank)Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square.
(blank)Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
(blank)Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
(blank)PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — there is no bracket position on a combination. Constituent units, orderable separately as spares: GF300-15 filter, GR300-15 regulator and GL300-15 lubricator.

Size Class & How It Differs From GFC

  • GC200PT1/8" - PT1/4"
  • GC300PT1/4" - PT1/2"
  • GC400PT3/8" - PT1/2"
  • GC600PT3/4" - PT1"

A GC is three separate units, so the filter and the regulator can each be serviced or replaced on their own. A GFC is the two-unit set, where filtering and regulating share one body — shorter, but the two functions come as one part. Both filter, regulate and lubricate.

Laboratory test-rig air preparation

Conditioning the compressed-air supply to a lab test rig that needs filtered, regulated and lubricated air at reduced pressure with unattended condensate drainage.

Is the AirTAC GC300-15 FRL Unit (GC30015ALN) the Right Station?

Start with the port step: this 300-size set carries a 1/2 in port, and the next sizes up (400, 600) offer larger ports and more flow if your demand grows. The automatic drain ejects condensate on its own, which suits unattended installation; manual and differential-pressure drain variants exist in the series. The standard 40 um element covers general plant air; specify the W (5 um) version where finer filtration is needed. Thread is PT as standard - order the G (BSPP) or NPT option if your piping uses those.

Flow through the GC series is published as curves, not a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your line pressure, downstream demand and port size and we will confirm the datasheet figures and check the sizing against your application before you order.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT1/2" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Three-unit (GC) or two-unit (GFC) layout
  • ✓ Oil mist acceptable downstream

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Install with the airflow arrow: filter first, lubricator last.
  • check Mount vertically, bowls down.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills; check the oil level.
  • check Keep the station above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowls must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe them with a dry cloth. The lubricator adds an oil mist downstream of the regulator. If any branch of the line must stay oil-free, take that branch off before the lubricator, or use a GR300-15 regulator with a GF300-15 filter on that branch.

AirTAC GC300-15 FRL Unit (GC30015ALN) FAQ

AirTAC publishes GC-series flow as curves, not a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number on this page. Send us your line pressure, downstream demand and port size, and we will confirm the datasheet figures and check the sizing against your application before you order.

The A suffix means the filter bowl drains condensate automatically, without operator intervention - useful for unattended lines. The GC series is also available with manual or differential-pressure drains; ask us if you prefer one of those for this application.
