AirTAC GC400-10 FRL Unit (GC40010MC1K)

The AirTAC AirTAC GC400-10 FRL Unit (GC40010MC1K) is a genuine G-series three-unit F.R.L. combination: a separate filter, a separate regulator and a separate lubricator assembled as one air-preparation station. It has PT3/8" ports, a 40 µm element, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi).

About the AirTAC GC400-10 FRL Unit (GC40010MC1K)

The GC40010MC1K is a size 400, three-piece AirTAC G-series F.R.L. combination - separate air filter, pressure regulator and oil-mist lubricator - with a 3/8 in PT port and a reverse (check) valve fitted in the regulator so that backflow through the unit is blocked. It carries the standard 40 um filtering element, a manual drain on the filter bowl, a round gauge reading in MPa, and the standard regulator type with a manual-drain adjustment range of 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi). Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi); working range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The same size 400 F.R.L. can be ordered without the check valve (drop the K suffix), in other sizes 200 to 600 and ports 1/8 in to 1 in, with differential-pressure or automatic drain, a 5 um element, square or round gauges in MPa, psi or bar scales, and G (BSPP) or NPT threads instead of the PT standard. Flow appears in the catalogue as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet and sizing for this exact code before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). The combination has no separate bracket code — the three units couple together with their own mounting hardware. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Field order is size, port, drain, type, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — there is no bracket position on a combination. Constituent units, orderable separately as spares: GF400-10 filter, GR400-10 regulator and GL400-10 lubricator.

Size Class & How It Differs From GFC

  • GC200PT1/8" - PT1/4"
  • GC300PT1/4" - PT1/2"
  • GC400PT3/8" - PT1/2"
  • GC600PT3/4" - PT1"

A GC is three separate units, so the filter and the regulator can each be serviced or replaced on their own. A GFC is the two-unit set, where filtering and regulating share one body — shorter, but the two functions come as one part. Both filter, regulate and lubricate.

Where the AirTAC GC400-10 FRL Unit (GC40010MC1K) Is Used

engineering

Press-clamp circuit hold-in

Supplying clamping and hold-down cylinders on a stamping press, where the check valve stops downstream air from being pushed back through the F.R.L. when an upstream section of the ring main is vented.

valve

Diaphragm pump feed line

Conditioning the air driving an air-operated double-diaphragm pump on a chemical transfer skid: filtered, regulated, lubricated supply with the check valve isolating the pump's pulsing line from the prep set.

local_shipping

Trailer air tool station

A workshop drop for truck and trailer repair bays, feeding impact guns and tire chucks with conditioned air, the check valve keeping the drop isolated when the main is shut down for service.

Is the AirTAC GC400-10 FRL Unit (GC40010MC1K) the Right Station?

Choose the K version when the line downstream must not push air back through the unit - for example after a compressor unloads or when an adjacent branch is vented. Everything else decodes as the GC40010MC1: 3/8 in port on the size 400 body, manual drain giving the widest 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) setting range, 40 um standard element with a 5 um W variant available, and a round MPa gauge (square gauges and psi or bar scales are orderable). Thread is PT as the standard, with G and NPT as orderable options. Flow is published only as curves, so ask us to check this unit against your application's flow curve from the datasheet before you order.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT3/8" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Three-unit (GC) or two-unit (GFC) layout
  • ✓ Oil mist acceptable downstream

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Install with the airflow arrow: filter first, lubricator last.
  • check Mount vertically, bowls down.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills; check the oil level.
  • check Keep the station above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowls must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe them with a dry cloth. The lubricator adds an oil mist downstream of the regulator. If any branch of the line must stay oil-free, take that branch off before the lubricator, or use a GR400-10 regulator with a GF400-10 filter on that branch.

AirTAC GC400-10 FRL Unit (GC40010MC1K) FAQ

AirTAC publishes G-series flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, and the fitted check valve adds its own curve segment, so we do not state a number here. Send us your demand and line pressure and we will confirm suitability from the datasheet on request.

The K suffix means a reverse (check) valve is fitted in the regulator, blocking backflow through the unit; the plain MC1 has no check valve. Every other decode is identical: size 400, PT3/8 port, manual drain, 40 um element and a round MPa gauge.
