The AirTAC AirTAC GFR200-06G Filter Regulator G1/8, Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/8" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR200-06G is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in one compact body. This 200-size unit has a G1/8 (BSPP) port, a manual-drain polycarbonate bowl, a 40 um standard filter element and an embedded square gauge reading in psi. The regulating spring covers 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series is offered in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, a choice of manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, 40 um or 5 um (W) filtration, embedded square or optional external round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, and G or NPT thread options alongside the PT standard. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing figures from the datasheet for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR200 | G-series filter regulator, 200 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 06 | Port size PT1/8". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| G | G (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Filtered, regulated air to the tool-changer and clamping circuits of a small CNC cell, with the embedded square psi gauge giving the operator a local setpoint readout at the machine.
Conditioning the air feed to a carton-sealing or wrapping line, where the manual drain suits equipment that is checked and emptied at the start of each shift.
A point-of-use air drop for lab instruments and pneumatic test rigs, combining 40 um particulate removal with fine manual pressure adjustment at the bench.
Step through the GFR sizes (200/300/400/600) to match the port and flow your line needs; this 200-size unit carries a 1/8 in G-thread port. Choose the drain to suit the installation: manual (as here) where the bowl is emptied at checks, automatic for unattended condensate removal, or differential-pressure as the catalogue default. The 40 um element is standard; specify W for 5 um where finer filtration matters. Gauges are embedded square as standard or optional external round, with MPa, psi or bar scales; this unit reads psi. Thread here is G (BSPP), with PT as the standard and NPT orderable as a specification option. No mounting bracket is fitted (code J); brackets are optional. Because flow is published as curves rather than one rated figure, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes GFR-series flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your application details and we will confirm the correct sizing from the datasheet on request.
The M in the code specifies a manual drain: an operator opens the bowl drain to expel collected water and contaminants. Choose manual where the unit is inspected regularly; choose automatic or differential-pressure drain where unattended condensate removal is needed. The manual-drain version also carries the widest 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) regulation range.
