The AirTAC AirTAC GFR200-08 Filter Regulator NPT1/4 5 um Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR200-08 combines filtration and pressure regulation in one body: it strips water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure within a 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) setting range. This 200-size unit is threaded NPT1/4, uses the fine 5 um filter element, drains by hand, and carries an embedded square gauge reading in MPa. A reverse/check valve is fitted, the bowl is polycarbonate, and the maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) with a working temperature range of -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series runs from size 200 to 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, and options include automatic or differential-pressure drains, the standard 40 um element, G (BSPP) or NPT threads, psi or bar gauge scales and a mounting bracket. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we confirm datasheet figures on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR200 | G-series filter regulator, 200 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 06 = PT1/8", 08 = PT1/4". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use conditioning for the clean, regulated air that actuates clamps, tool changers and spindle air seals on a machining centre, with the 5 um element guarding tight-tolerance valves.
Feeding baggers, carton sealers and wrapper cylinders with filtered, regulated air so seal jaws and pushers hold a consistent pressure setting through a shift.
Regulated air for pop-up diverters, stops and gate cylinders on sorting and assembly conveyors, where steady downstream pressure keeps indexing repeatable.
Size 200 with a 1/4 in port is the entry step of the GFR range; if your air demand is high, step up to GFR300/400/600 with 3/8 in to 1 in ports rather than stretching a small unit. Drain is manual on this model, so plan a routine bowl drain - automatic (A) or differential-pressure versions are available if you would rather not. The 5 um element (W) is the finer of the two published grades; choose 40 um where coarse protection is enough. The square gauge reads MPa, and psi or bar scales can be ordered. NPT is this unit's thread, with G (BSPP) as a catalogue option, and a mounting bracket can be added. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Tell us your application and line pressure and we will confirm the flow and sizing from the datasheet on request before you order.
The M in the code means the polycarbonate bowl is drained by hand, so someone should open the drain periodically as part of maintenance. If you would prefer the bowl to discharge condensate without that routine, the same size is available with an automatic (A) or differential-pressure drain - just ask for the alternative code.
