The AirTAC AirTAC GFR200-08 Filter Regulator, PT1/4, Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR200-08 is a compact filter regulator that removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This 200-size unit is fitted with a 1/4 in PT port, a manual drain bowl in polycarbonate, and a 40 um standard filter element. It is the low-pressure (L) type, so it is intended for circuits that hold a lower regulated set pressure than a standard unit. A reverse/check valve (K) is fitted, and an external round gauge on the psi scale is included so the set pressure can be read directly. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR series spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, and is available with manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, a 5 um (W) element option, gauge or no-gauge versions, and G (BSPP) or NPT threads as order options. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

On a fixture-clamping manifold that holds a low set pressure for the whole shift, this low-pressure GFR regulates the downstream supply while the 40 um element keeps water and debris out of the clamping valves.
Feeding the small cylinders and air jets on a carton-sealing or labelling machine, the 1/4 in PT port matches the machine's drop line, and the psi round gauge lets operators read and hold the set point.
Tapped off a plant air header to supply positioners and small actuators, the reverse/check valve holds the downstream circuit if header pressure dips, and the manual drain is emptied during routine rounds.
Start with the port size: this unit is 1/4 in PT on the 200 frame; step up to GFR300/400/600 when the line port or air demand is larger. Choose the drain to match maintenance access: manual drain (this unit) needs someone to open the bowl, automatic drains themselves, and differential-pressure drain suits continuous-duty lines. Filter grade is 40 um standard here; specify the W option for 5 um where finer protection is needed. Gauge scale can be ordered in MPa, psi or bar, and thread in PT (standard), G or NPT. A bracket is included with this unit. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a rated flow figure. Tell us your line pressure and air demand and we will confirm the flow from the datasheet on request before you order.
The M in the code GFR20008MLC2K means the polycarbonate bowl is drained by hand, which suits points that are checked during routine maintenance. The same series can be ordered with an automatic drain or with differential-pressure drain if you prefer the bowl to discharge without operator action.
