The AirTAC AirTAC GFR300-08 Filter Regulator, 1/4 in NPT is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR300-08 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration is sized GFR300 with a 1/4 in NPT port, a 40 um standard filter element and a differential-pressure drain, the default drain option for this family. The polycarbonate (PC) bowl collects condensate, the embedded square gauge reads in bar, a reverse/check valve (code K) is fitted, and the unit comes without a mounting bracket (code J).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, a 5 um element option (code W), gauge scales in MPa, psi or bar, and PT, G or NPT threads. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use filter regulation ahead of the solenoid valves and clamping cylinders on a CNC machining centre, keeping condensate and airborne particulate out of the valve stack while operators set and read line pressure on the bar-scale gauge.
Filtered, regulated air feeding the pilot valve manifold on a carton-forming packaging line, where the 40 um element protects the pilot spools and the regulator holds a steady set pressure for consistent bag or carton sealing strokes.
Supplying the pneumatic cylinders that drive diverters, stoppers and lift-and-rotate gates on a distribution-centre conveyor, with the reverse/check valve fitted in this configuration for circuits that must not lose their set pressure.
Step up or down through sizes 200/300/400/600 and ports 1/8 to 1 in to match the flow your line needs - we confirm exact sizing against the published flow curves before you order. Drain options are differential-pressure (this model), automatic (code A) or manual (code M); note the regulation range differs by drain: 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) with differential-pressure or automatic, 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) with manual. The element is 40 um standard or 5 um (code W) for finer filtration. The gauge can be the embedded square type (this model, bar scale) or an optional external round gauge, with MPa, psi or bar scales. Thread is PT as standard, with G (BSPP) and NPT as order options - this model is NPT. A bracket is included unless code J specifies none, as on this unit.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number here. Send us your application details and we will confirm the flow data from the datasheet so you can size the unit correctly before ordering.
This unit has the differential-pressure drain, the default option for the family (blank code). Code A selects an automatic drain and code M a manual drain. The regulation range depends on the choice: 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi) with the differential-pressure or automatic drain, and 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi) with the manual drain.
