The AirTAC AirTAC GFR300-08 Filter Regulator NPT 1/4 in, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR300-08MC1WTK is an AirTAC GFR-series filter regulator: water and particulate filtration plus downstream pressure regulation combined in a single body. This 300-size unit is threaded NPT 1/4 in and carries the 5 um filter element (code W) for finer cleaning than the standard 40 um grade. It has a manual drain on the PC bowl, a fitted round pressure gauge with MPa scale, a built-in reverse/check valve, and a mounting bracket is included. The regulator is the standard type with an adjustment range of 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), and maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi). Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge scale options, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow figures are published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 1 | Gauge scale: MPa. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feed a bench-mounted pneumatic press or clamping fixture from a single GFR unit: the 5 um element keeps fine particulate out of the cylinder valves while the regulator holds the working pressure the tooling was set up for.
Point-of-use conditioning ahead of a packaging machine's valve island: filtered, regulated air at a stable setpoint protects solenoid valves and seals, and the check valve holds the circuit if supply pressure dips.
A workshop air drop serving impact drivers, ratchets and blow guns: the round MPa gauge gives the technician a clear setpoint readout, the manual drain lets the bowl be bled at shift end, and the 5 um grade suits sensitive tools.
Size and port set the capacity: this unit is 300 size with a 1/4 in NPT thread; step up to 400 or 600 if your line needs larger ports, or down to 200 for compact circuits. Drain type is a real choice - differential-pressure (default), automatic, or manual as coded here (M); manual suits installations where an operator can bleed the bowl routinely. Filter grade is 40 um standard or 5 um with the W code, which this unit carries for finer protection of downstream components. Gauge options are the embedded square gauge or an external round gauge, with MPa, psi or bar scales - this unit has the round gauge on MPa. Thread is PT as standard, with G and NPT as orderable options; this one is NPT. A bracket is included, and the K code means a reverse/check valve is fitted.
One honest note before you order: AirTAC publishes flow as curves, not a single rated figure, so we cannot quote a rated flow number. Send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number. Send us your application - port size, expected demand and line pressure - and we will confirm the relevant datasheet figures on request before you order.
The M in the code specifies a manual drain on the bowl: condensate is released by hand rather than automatically. Choose manual where the unit is accessible and someone can bleed the bowl as part of a routine, and choose the automatic or differential-pressure drain codes where the unit is mounted in a hard-to-reach position. Note that with a manual drain the regulator adjustment range is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi).
