The AirTAC AirTAC GFR300-08 Filter Regulator NPT1/4, 5 um, low-pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/4" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR300-08LJF3WT is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration is the 300 size with a 1/4 in NPT port, a fine 5 um filter element (the W grade, versus the standard 40 um), a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically as flow passes through, and the low-pressure regulator type for circuits set below standard working ranges. The embedded square gauge reads in bar, the polycarbonate bowl suits the 300 size, maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the operating temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. No mounting bracket is fitted (code J).
This is a genuine AirTAC part from the GFR300 series. The GFR family is also available in 200, 400 and 600 sizes with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 in, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drains, 40 um or 5 um elements, square or external round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, and PT (standard), G or NPT threads to order. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so we confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR300 | G-series filter regulator, 300 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 08 | Port size PT1/4". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds the cylinder circuit of a small bench press or clamping fixture where the tooling is rated for reduced supply pressure, combining clean, moisture-reduced air with low-pressure regulation at one 1/4 in connection.
Mounted at the air inlet of a cartoner or labelling machine, it strips water and fine particles before the directional valves and sets a steady, lower supply pressure for the machine's cylinder bank.
Conditions air for bench-top test rigs or spray guns that need fine 5 um filtration and a gentle, stable regulated pressure, with the bar-scale gauge giving a direct readout at the point of use.
Size the unit by the port and flow step: 200, 300, 400 and 600 move up through 1/8 to 1 in ports, so pick the size whose flow curve covers your consumption with margin - ask us to check the curve before ordering. This unit already carries the 5 um element; the standard 40 um element is the choice where only coarse protection is needed. Drain options are differential-pressure (fitted here), automatic or manual. Gauges come as the embedded square type with MPa, psi or bar scales (bar here), or an external round gauge. Thread is NPT on this model; PT is the standard and G is also a catalogue option. Brackets are optional - this unit ships without one (code J). Because flow is published as curves, not a single rating, send us your application and we will confirm sizing from the datasheet.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR300 series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number. Send us your application and we will confirm the flow and datasheet figures for this exact configuration on request.
The W code in the model selects the optional 5 um filter element instead of the 40 um standard, for finer protection of downstream equipment. F3 selects the embedded square gauge with a bar scale; MPa and psi scales are available on other configurations, and an external round gauge is an option.
