AirTAC GFR300-10 Filter Regulator 3/8 NPT, 5 um, Auto Drain

The AirTAC AirTAC GFR300-10 Filter Regulator 3/8 NPT, 5 um, Auto Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.

About the AirTAC GFR300-10 Filter Regulator 3/8 NPT, 5 um, Auto Drain

The AirTAC GFR300-10 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration is the 300 size with a 3/8 in NPT port, a 5 um filter element (the finer of the two grades; 40 um is standard), an automatic drain that ejects collected condensate without manual attention, and a square pressure gauge reading in psi. The regulator adjusts from 0.15 to 0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the polycarbonate bowl is rated for -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. A mounting bracket is included.

This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 in, and with manual, automatic or differential-pressure drains, 40 um or 5 um elements, MPa, psi or bar gauge scales, and PT, G or NPT threads. AirTAC publishes flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, so if you need a flow number for sizing, ask us and we will confirm it from the datasheet on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

Model Code: AirTAC GFR300-10 Filter Regulator 3/8 NPT, 5 um, Auto Drain

GFR300G-series filter regulator, 300 body — sets the port range.
10Port size PT3/8". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2".
ADrain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)).
(blank)Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type.
(blank)Mounting bracket included.
(blank)Pressure gauge fitted (blank).
FGauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square.
2Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar.
WFiltering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist.
TNPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT.
(blank)No reverse-flow valve (the default).

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.

Size Class

  • GFR200PT1/8" - PT1/4"
  • GFR300PT1/4" - PT1/2"
  • GFR400PT3/8" - PT1/2"
  • GFR600PT3/4" - PT1"

A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Where the AirTAC GFR300-10 Filter Regulator 3/8 NPT, 5 um, Auto Drain Is Used

conveyor_belt

Packaging line actuator supply

Clean, regulated air for the pneumatic cylinders that drive carton forming and sealing heads on a packaging conveyor, with the 5 um element helping protect directional valves from particulate.

factory

Assembly cell air prep

Point-of-use regulation for air tools and clamp cylinders at an assembly station, with the automatic drain keeping collected condensate out of the circuit between shifts.

settings_input_component

Test rig and pick-and-place circuits

A stable regulated supply for pneumatic pick-and-place or test-rig circuits, where a fine 5 um element and a psi gauge setpoint suit sensitive components and repeatable setups.

Is the AirTAC GFR300-10 Filter Regulator 3/8 NPT, 5 um, Auto Drain the Right Unit?

Choose the size and port against the air demand of the circuit: this unit is size 300 with a 3/8 in NPT port, one step up from the 1/4 in port and one below the 1/2 in size-400 port. Pick the drain to suit access: automatic (this unit) suits installations that are not checked daily, manual suits attended points, and differential-pressure drain is the default. The 5 um element (this unit) is the choice where finer particulate matters; 40 um is the standard grade. The square psi gauge is fitted; MPa and bar scales and an external round gauge are options. PT is the standard thread and G and NPT are order options - this unit is ordered with NPT. A bracket is included.

AirTAC publishes flow as performance curves, not a single rated figure, so we do not quote a flow number here. Send us your application's air demand and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.

Quick checklist

  • ✓ Body size for your peak flow (PT3/8" here)
  • ✓ Element 40 µm or 5 µm
  • ✓ Drain sets the regulating band
  • ✓ Gauge fitted, shape and scale
  • ✓ Thread PT, G (BSPP) or NPT
  • ✓ Oil needed downstream? Use GFC instead

Installation & Maintenance Notes

  • check Mount vertically, bowl down, following the airflow arrow.
  • check One body does the filtering and the regulating — no separate regulator needed.
  • check Keep inlet pressure at or below 1.0 MPa (145 psi).
  • check Adjust only within 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi).
  • check Drain condensate before the bowl fills.
  • check Keep the unit above freezing (-5 to +70 °C, unfreeze).

The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.

AirTAC GFR300-10 Filter Regulator 3/8 NPT, 5 um, Auto Drain FAQ

AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as performance curves rather than a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure here. Send us your air demand and operating pressure and we will confirm sizing from the datasheet on request.

The 5 um element (code W) filters more finely than the 40 um standard grade, which suits circuits with sensitive valves or instruments. The automatic drain ejects collected condensate on its own, so the unit suits installations that are not checked daily. Both are catalogue options on the GFR300.
