The AirTAC AirTAC GFR300-15-N Filter Regulator, NPT1/2, Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR300-15-N is a size-300 filter regulator that removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration has 1/2 in NPT ports, a manual drain bowl in polycarbonate, and the standard 40 um filter element. It is the low-pressure type, intended for circuits where the set pressure must stay below the standard regulator range - confirm the exact range with us before ordering. No gauge is fitted, a reverse/check valve is included, and no mounting bracket is supplied. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part from the GFR300 series, one of four sizes (200, 300, 400, 600) with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 inch. Across the range you can choose thread type (PT standard, G or NPT to order), drain type (differential-pressure, automatic or manual), a 5 um filter element in place of the 40 um standard, and gauge options. We do not publish a single rated flow figure - flow is given as curves - so ask us to confirm sizing and datasheet figures against your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 15 | Port size PT1/2". This body offers 08 = PT1/4", 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| N | No pressure gauge (N). |
| (blank) | Gauge shape: Factory standard. C is round, F is square. |
| (blank) | Gauge scale: Factory standard. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

A low-pressure set point is exactly what workholding clamps need: the GFR300-15-N filters the shop-air supply and holds a gentle, stable clamp pressure on a machining centre's pneumatic vise circuit, with the check valve holding the setting against supply dips.
On a carton or blister packaging line, delicate sealing arms and forming dies run at low actuation pressures. This unit cleans the air and regulates it down at the station, while the manual drain lets an operator bleed accumulated water at shift start.
Bench-top test rigs and lab pneumatic circuits often need clean air regulated to a low, repeatable pressure. The 40 um element protects sensitive instruments from water and particulate, and the 1/2 in NPT ports tie neatly into a bench manifold.
Start with the port and size step: this unit is size 300 with 1/2 in NPT ports, one step up from 3/8 in and one below 3/4 in - match it to the air supply line serving your machine. The manual drain here must be opened by hand to empty the bowl; if nobody tends the point of use, the automatic (A) or differential-pressure (default) drain options are the better choice. The 40 um element is the standard grade; the 5 um (W) element suits finer downstream needs. Gauge and scale options (round or square, MPa, psi or bar) can be ordered if you want a local pressure readout - this unit ships without one. Thread is NPT as coded; PT is the catalogue standard and G is also available to order. Note the J code: no mounting bracket is included, so plan a rigid pipe or panel arrangement accordingly.
On sizing: flow for this series is published as curves, not a single rated number, so we cannot quote a rated flow here. Send us your application's flow and pressure requirements and we will confirm suitability from the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR300 series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number here. Tell us your application's flow and working pressure and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request before you order.
The M code means the bowl must be drained by hand, which suits attended points of use where an operator can bleed off collected water regularly. If the unit will sit unattended, ask about the automatic (A) or differential-pressure (default) drain versions of the same GFR300 filter regulator.
