The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-10 Filter Regulator 3/8 in NPT, Manual Drain is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-10 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration is the size 400 unit with a 3/8 in NPT port, manual drain, standard 40 um filtration, a built-in reverse/check valve, an embedded square gauge scaled in bar, and a mounting bracket included. The manual drain lets an operator empty collected condensate on demand, and the standard regulator covers an adjustment range of 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi). Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of manual, automatic or differential-pressure drain, 40 um or 5 um (W) filtration, gauge scale options, and G (BSPP) or NPT threads as order options alongside the PT standard. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Filter and regulate the air feeding a bank of directional control valves on an automated machine, with the bar-scale gauge giving operators a local setpoint reading and the check valve holding downstream pressure if the supply dips.
Condition the supply to cylinders and actuators along a packaging or material-handling conveyor line, using the 3/8 in NPT connection to sit in the main drop and the manual drain for a scheduled end-of-shift blowdown.
Serve a production-cell air drop where operators need clean air at a stable, adjustable pressure, with the included bracket mounting the unit at the point of use and 40 um filtration protecting downstream tools.
Start with the port step: this size 400 unit carries a 3/8 in NPT port, so match it to the line size and the flow your circuit needs - larger sizes carry larger ports and more flow. Choose the drain type to suit access: manual drain (this unit) means an operator drains the bowl on demand, while automatic and differential-pressure drains handle condensate without attention. Filtration is 40 um as standard; specify the W option for 5 um where finer protection is needed. The embedded square gauge is scaled in bar here, with MPa and psi scales and an external round gauge available. G (BSPP) and NPT threads are order options against the PT standard, and a no-bracket (J) variant exists if you do not need the included bracket. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, ask us to confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote a rated flow, Cv or SCFM number. Tell us your line size and application and we will confirm the relevant datasheet flow-curve figures for the GFR400-10 on request before you order.
M is the manual-drain code: collected condensate is emptied by operating the drain by hand, which suits installations checked on a regular schedule. The K indicates a reverse/check valve is fitted, holding the regulated downstream pressure if the upstream supply is interrupted. For unattended drains, automatic (A) or differential-pressure (blank) versions are available.
