The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-10 Filter Regulator 3/8 in PT Low-Pressure is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/8" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The GFR40010ALC2 is an AirTAC GFR400 filter regulator: a single body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds a reduced downstream pressure. This configuration is built on the 400 size with a 3/8 in PT port, a 40 um standard filter element, an automatic drain that empties the PC bowl without manual attention, and an external round pressure gauge reading in psi. The L code marks the low-pressure regulator type, intended for circuits that run at reduced set pressures, and the mounting bracket is included.
It is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, and options include a 5 um element (code W), manual or differential-pressure drains, square or round gauges with MPa, psi or bar scales, G or NPT threads, and a reverse/check valve. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. Rated flow is published only as curves, so ask us to confirm sizing and datasheet figures for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. The low-pressure type adjusts over a lower band than standard; we confirm the exact figures from the factory datasheet. Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 10 | Port size PT3/8". This body offers 10 = PT3/8", 15 = PT1/2". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| L | Low-pressure type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| (blank) | PT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeds the clamping and hold-down cylinders of an assembly press with filtered air held at a reduced set pressure, while the automatic drain keeps condensate out of the bowl during continuous shifts.
Supplies gauges, transducers and small actuators on a lab or QC test bench, where the 40 um element protects sensitive devices and the round psi gauge gives a direct local pressure readout.
Conditions the air feeding diverters, pushers and gripper cylinders on a packaging conveyor, combining water and particulate removal with low-pressure regulation in one body.
Choose the size by the port and flow step: 200 through 600, with this 400 unit carrying a 3/8 in PT port. Drain type is a real choice - automatic (this unit) empties the bowl on its own, manual needs a routine drain, and the default differential-pressure drain uses the airflow itself - all on the same PC bowl at this size. Filter grade is 40 um standard or 5 um with code W for finer protection. For gauges, an embedded square gauge is standard and an external round gauge is optional in MPa, psi or bar scales; this unit carries the round psi gauge. Threads are PT as standard with G (BSPP) and NPT as order options, and the bracket is included. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so send us your application and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR400 as curves rather than a single rated figure, so there is no one l/min or SCFM number we can quote. Send us your line pressure, set pressure and expected air demand, and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet before you order.
L marks the low-pressure regulator type, intended for circuits that run at reduced set pressures; the exact adjustment range for the low-pressure type is not published in the material we hold, so we confirm it on request. C is the optional external round gauge and 2 is its psi scale. The rest of the code reads: 400 size, 3/8 in PT port, A automatic drain, 40 um element, bracket included, no reverse valve.
