The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400-15C2G Filter Regulator, G1/2, psi gauge is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT1/2" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400-15C2G is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady in a single body. This size 400 unit has a G1/2 (BSPP) port, a 40 um standard filter element, and a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate as the pressure drop across the element rises. The fitted round gauge reads in psi, the standard regulator adjusts from 0.15 to 0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), and the polycarbonate bowl suits the -5 to 70 C (non-freezing) operating range. A mounting bracket is included.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, optional 5 um filtration (code W), automatic or manual drain variants, MPa, psi or bar gauge scales, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet numbers for your application.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |

| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| (blank) | Filtering grade 40 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| G | G (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Feeding clean, regulated air to a stamping or assembly press: the 40 um element keeps water and wear particles out of the valve stack while the regulator holds consistent clamping pressure.
Supplying air to stopper and pusher cylinders on a packaging line, where steady regulated pressure keeps indexing repeatable and the differential-pressure drain handles condensate from humid intake air.
Conditioning shop air before it reaches a CNC machine's pneumatic tool changer and work clamps, filtering water and debris and setting the supply pressure the machine builder specifies.
Size and port set the air capacity: this unit is size 400 with a G1/2 port; step up to size 600 or down to 300/200 to match the air your line consumes. Drain choice is a real decision: differential-pressure (this unit) bleeds on pressure drop, automatic drains continuously without attention, and manual requires periodic bleeding. Filter grade is 40 um standard or 5 um with code W for finer protection. Gauge scale can be MPa, psi or bar, and the thread here is G (BSPP), with PT and NPT available as order options. Flow is published as curves, not a single rating, so let us confirm sizing against your application before ordering.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes GFR flow as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote one number. Tell us your line pressure and the air your equipment consumes, and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request.
This unit's differential-pressure drain bleeds the bowl automatically as the pressure drop across the 40 um element rises, so no routine manual bleeding is needed. If your air is very wet or the unit runs at low, steady flow, an automatic drain (code A) or a manual drain (code M) may suit better - we can quote either.
