The AirTAC AirTAC GFR400C15MC2GK Filter Regulator G1/2 (1/2 in) is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 40 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has See datasheet ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR400C15MC2GK is a size 400 filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This configuration carries a G1/2 (BSPP) port, a manual-drain polycarbonate bowl, a 40 um filter element, a round pressure gauge reading in psi, a built-in reverse (check) valve and a mounting bracket. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the regulator adjusts from 0.05 to 0.9 MPa (7-130 psi). Operating temperature is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is offered in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 to 1 in, PT as the standard thread and G or NPT as order options, plus a choice of drain type, 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge style and scale, and a check valve. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, so ask us to confirm the figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |

Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Mounted at the drop feeding a CNC machining centre, the unit strips condensate and swarf-laden particulate from the shop air and holds a steady regulated pressure to the machine's tool-change and clamping circuits, with the psi gauge giving operators a local setpoint check.
Installed on the air drop serving a cartoning or wrapping conveyor line, it cleans the supply and regulates pressure to the pick-and-place and sealing cylinders, while the check valve holds the downstream setting if upstream supply dips.
Fitted ahead of a robotic welding cell's gripper and clamp circuit, it removes water that would corrode the gripper valves and regulates the pressure the gripper jaws see, with the manual drain emptied during the cell's scheduled maintenance round.
Step up or down through sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 to match the port and flow path your line needs; size 400 with the 1/2 in port suits mid-to-large machine supply circuits. Choose the drain to match attendance: manual (this unit) for scheduled checks, automatic or differential-pressure where the bowl should clear itself. Keep the 40 um element for general plant air, or order the 5 um (W) grade where downstream valves and instruments need finer filtration. Gauge scale (MPa, psi or bar), PT versus G/NPT thread, bracket and check valve are all decodable order choices.
Because flow is published as curves and not a single rating, send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The PC bowl must not be cleaned with solvents — wipe it with a dry cloth. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for this series as curves, not as a single rated figure, so we do not quote a number. Send us your line pressure, downstream demand and port requirements and we will confirm the sizing against the datasheet on request before you order.
M in the code is the manual drain: the polycarbonate bowl is emptied by hand on a scheduled basis instead of automatically. The trailing K means a reverse (check) valve is fitted, so the regulated downstream pressure is held if the upstream supply is interrupted. Note the thread here is G (BSPP); PT is the standard thread and G or NPT are order options.
