The AirTAC AirTAC GFR600-20 Filter Regulator 3/4 in NPT, 5 um, bar is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/4" ports, a manual drain and regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR600-20 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds a set downstream pressure, in a single body. This configuration is the size 600 unit with a 3/4 in NPT port, fitted with the fine 5 um filter element (code W), a manual drain on the bowl, a reverse/check valve (code K) and the embedded square pressure gauge scaled in bar. The manual drain means the bowl is emptied by hand, and the check valve holds the downstream setting if upstream supply is interrupted. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the regulation range is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi), and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C, non-freezing. At size 600 the bowl is aluminium alloy.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR filter-regulator family spans sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with ports from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, 40 um standard or 5 um fine filtration, standard or low-pressure regulation, gauge scale options, G/NPT thread variants and bracket choices. Flow for this series is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.

|---|---|
| 20 | Port size PT3/4". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1". |
| M | Drain: Manual drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.05 - 0.9 MPa (7 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| (blank) | Mounting bracket included. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Installed at the 3/4 in main air drop feeding a CNC machining cell, where water and fine swill particulate must be stripped out and a steady set pressure held for the machine's pneumatic circuits.
Supplying filtered, regulated air to the cylinders and grippers on a packaging conveyor line, with the check valve helping hold the setting if upstream supply dips.
Feeding quarter-turn pneumatic valve actuators on a process skid, where the 5 um element protects actuator internals and the regulator holds the actuator's rated supply pressure.
Size and port step up with flow demand: this is the largest GFR size, 600, with a 3/4 in NPT port, chosen when the line needs the family's highest capacity. Decodable choices on this series: drain type (differential-pressure as standard, automatic with code A, manual with code M - this unit is manual, so plan a routine drain check); filter grade (40 um standard, 5 um with W - this unit carries the 5 um element for finer particulate control); gauge scale (MPa, psi or bar - this unit is square, bar); thread (PT is the standard, G and NPT are order options - this unit is NPT); and bracket (included unless code J). The K code here also adds a reverse/check valve. Because flow is published as curves rather than a single rating, send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure here. Send us your application details and we will confirm the datasheet flow curve and sizing for your operating pressure on request.
Code M specifies a manual drain, so the bowl is emptied by hand as part of routine maintenance. The GFR series is also available with differential-pressure drain (the default) or automatic drain (code A); with a manual drain the regulator range is 0.05-0.9 MPa (7-130 psi).
