The AirTAC AirTAC GFR600-20 Filter Regulator NPT 3/4 in, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/4" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR600-20 is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and regulates downstream pressure in a single body. This size-600 unit is specified with NPT 3/4 in ports, an automatic drain that expels collected condensate without manual attention, a fine 5 um filter element, an aluminium alloy bowl, a round pressure gauge with a bar scale, and a built-in reverse (check) valve that holds the downstream setting when upstream supply is lost. No mounting bracket is fitted. Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi), the regulation range is 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi), and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing). Medium is compressed air only.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family is available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with a choice of ports, drain types (differential-pressure, automatic or manual), filter grades (40 um standard, 5 um optional), gauge styles and scales, thread options and bracket choices, so a configuration can be matched to most line requirements. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rating; ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR600 | G-series filter regulator, 600 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 20 | Port size PT3/4". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Point-of-use clean, regulated air for impact wrenches, nutrunners and clamping fixtures on a vehicle assembly line, with the check valve holding set pressure through supply dips.
Filtered and regulated air for carton formers, case sealers and palletiser grippers on a packaging line, where the 5 um element protects directional valves from fouling.
Conditioned air for tool-clamp actuation, chip-blowoff and coolant-spray circuits on CNC machining centres, with regulated pressure set at the machine rather than the compressor room.
Size and port are the first choices: the 600 frame with NPT 3/4 in ports suits lines plumbed at 3/4 in, and larger sizes carry higher flow - we can confirm exact flow against the published curves before you order. The 5 um element in this unit is the finer of the two grades (40 um is standard), appropriate where downstream valves and cylinders need cleaner air. The automatic drain suits unattended duty; manual or differential-pressure drains are alternatives if you prefer scheduled or load-linked draining. The round gauge here reads in bar; square gauges and MPa or psi scales are also available. NPT is the thread on this unit, with PT and G (BSPP) available to order. A mounting bracket can be specified on other configurations; this one ships without one.
Quick checklist
The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure here. Tell us your operating pressure and required flow and we will confirm the sizing from the datasheet on request before you order.
The automatic drain (code A) discharges condensate collected in the aluminium bowl without anyone opening it, which suits unattended or hard-to-reach installations. The fitted reverse/check valve (code K) prevents downstream pressure loss back through the unit if the upstream supply drops. Both are decodable from the model code; manual or differential-pressure drains and a unit without the check valve are available in other configurations.
