The AirTAC AirTAC GFR600-20G Filter Regulator, G3/4, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/4" ports, a differential-pressure drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR600-20G is a filter regulator: it removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady, in one compact body. This size-600 unit is fitted with a G3/4 (BSPP) port, a 5 um filter element for finer filtration than the 40 um standard, and a differential-pressure drain that bleeds collected condensate automatically whenever the pressure differential across the element is high enough. The 600-size bowl is aluminium alloy, and the regulator is the standard type with an adjustment range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi). A round external gauge on a psi scale is fitted, and a reverse/check valve is built in to hold downstream pressure if the supply is lost. No mounting bracket is included with this code.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The GFR family runs from size 200 to 600, with port sizes from 1/8 to 1 inch, a choice of differential-pressure, automatic or manual drain, 40 um or 5 um filtration, gauge scale options, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us to confirm the datasheet figures for your application before ordering.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR600 | G-series filter regulator, 600 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 20 | Port size PT3/4". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1". |
| (blank) | Drain: Differential-pressure drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| C | Gauge shape: Round. C is round, F is square. |
| 2 | Gauge scale: psi. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| G | G (BSPP) thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| K | Reverse-flow (reflux) valve fitted. |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Clean, pressure-steady air to the machine tool's pneumatic clamps and tool-change cylinders, with the 5 um element protecting fine valves from particulate and the check valve holding clamp pressure during a supply dip.
Filtering and regulating the air feeding sealing and folding cylinders on a carton line, where the differential-pressure drain keeps condensate moving out without an operator stopping the line.
Conditioning supply air for pneumatic assembly tools and fixtures at a 3/4-inch branch, with the psi gauge giving operators a local setpoint readout and the 5 um grade guarding downstream fittings.
Start with the port and size step: size 600 with a G3/4 port suits lines plumbed at 3/4 inch, and the larger the size, the higher the flow capacity - match the step to the air demand of the circuit rather than oversizing on guesswork. Choose the drain to suit access: this unit's differential-pressure drain works unattended, while automatic and manual drains are the other catalogue options. Filtration here is the 5 um element (code W); take the 40 um standard if general-purpose air is sufficient. The fitted round gauge reads in psi; MPa and bar scales are also available. Thread is G (BSPP) on this code, with PT as the standard and NPT available to order, and this configuration carries no mounting bracket.
Because flow is published as curves and not a single rating, send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order.
Quick checklist
The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. The reflux valve permits reverse flow through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves rather than a single rated figure, so we do not quote one number. Send us your application details and we will confirm the flow figures from the datasheet so you can size the unit correctly.
This code carries the differential-pressure drain (the default). It discharges collected condensate automatically when the pressure drop across the filter element rises enough, so no manual draining is needed. Automatic (code A) and manual (code M) drains are the other catalogue options if you prefer a different arrangement.
