The AirTAC AirTAC GFR600-20T Filter Regulator 3/4 in NPT, 5 um is a genuine G-series filter regulator: water separation, 5 µm particulate filtration and balanced-type pressure regulation combined in a single body. It has PT3/4" ports, a automatic drain and regulates 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). It does not lubricate — add a GL lubricator, or order the GFC two-unit set, if downstream equipment needs oil.
The AirTAC GFR600-20T is a filter regulator: one body that removes water and particulate from compressed air and holds downstream pressure steady. This size 600 unit is fitted with a 3/4 in NPT port, a 5 um filter element (the finer of the two catalogue grades), and an automatic drain that bleeds collected condensate from the aluminium alloy bowl without anyone opening it. The embedded square gauge reads outlet pressure in bar, and the standard regulator covers an adjustment range of 0.15-0.9 MPa (20-130 psi). Maximum inlet pressure is 1.0 MPa (145 psi) and the working temperature range is -5 to 70 C (non-freezing).
This is a genuine AirTAC part from the GFR filter-regulator family, available in sizes 200, 300, 400 and 600 with port sizes from 1/8 in to 1 in, a choice of automatic, manual or differential-pressure drain, 40 um or 5 um filtration, and PT, G or NPT threads. Flow is published as curves rather than a single rated figure, so ask us and we will confirm the datasheet figures for your application on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC G-series air-preparation data. The regulating band is set by the drain type: automatic and differential-pressure drains regulate 0.15 - 0.9 MPa, a manual drain regulates 0.05 - 0.9 MPa. Standard type, regulating 0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi). Air must not freeze in the unit. Flow curves, weight and outline dimensions are not published in our data set — ask us and we will confirm from the factory datasheet.
| GFR600 | G-series filter regulator, 600 body — sets the port range. |
|---|---|
| 20 | Port size PT3/4". This body offers 20 = PT3/4", 25 = PT1". |
| A | Drain: Automatic drain — this also sets the regulating band (0.15 - 0.9 MPa (20 - 130 psi)). |
| (blank) | Standard type. Blank is standard, L is the low-pressure type. |
| J | Supplied without bracket. |
| (blank) | Pressure gauge fitted (blank). |
| F | Gauge shape: Square. C is round, F is square. |
| 3 | Gauge scale: bar. 1 is MPa, 2 is psi, 3 is bar. |
| W | Filtering grade 5 µm. Only 40 µm (blank) and 5 µm (W) exist. |
| T | NPT thread. PT is the default; G is BSPP and T is NPT. |
| (blank) | No reverse-flow valve (the default). |
Field order is size, port, drain, type, bracket, gauge, shape, scale, grade, thread, reflux — a blank position takes the default. Example: GFR300-08 is a 300 body, PT1/4", differential drain, standard type, bracket included, gauge fitted, 40 µm, PT thread, no reflux valve.
A larger body carries a larger port and holds set pressure better as flow rises. AirTAC publishes flow only as curves, so size the body from your peak demand with headroom. The GFR600 uses an aluminium-alloy bowl; the 200, 300 and 400 bodies use PC.

Clean, regulated air feeding tool clamps, pallet changers and pneumatic actuators on a machining centre, where the 5 um element protects fine valve spools and the automatic drain handles condensate from a long main run.
A single 3/4 in supply point feeding cylinders and grippers along a packaging conveyor, with the regulator holding a steady working pressure so case-forming and sealing strokes stay repeatable through the shift.
A main-line air drop serving a bank of assembly stations, where the filter regulator dries and regulates the supply at the point of use and the automatic drain suits a drop that nobody inspects daily.
Size and port set the capacity: the 600 frame with a 3/4 in port is the larger step in the GFR range, so match it against the air demand of the circuit rather than the pipe size alone. The 5 um element (code W) suits points of use that need finer particulate control than the 40 um standard; both grades share the same body here. The automatic drain keeps the aluminium bowl clear of condensate without manual attention, which matters where the unit sits in an awkward or unattended position. The embedded square gauge is fitted in the bar scale; an external round gauge in MPa, psi or bar is an option, and a reverse/check valve can be ordered if needed.
Because flow is published as curves and not a single rating, send us your application details and we will confirm sizing against the datasheet before you order. Thread here is NPT; PT is the catalogue standard and G is also available as an order option. A mounting bracket is not included with this configuration but can be specified.
Quick checklist
The aluminium-alloy bowl on the GFR600 suits harsher environments than a PC bowl. Without the K option, air cannot flow back through the unit. A filter regulator adds no oil to the line.
AirTAC publishes flow for the GFR series as curves, not as a single rated number, so we do not quote a figure here. Tell us your operating pressure and air demand and we will confirm the datasheet flow curve for this 3/4 in unit on request.
The automatic drain discharges collected condensate from the aluminium bowl on its own, with no bowl access needed. It is the right choice for unattended or hard-to-reach positions; manual and differential-pressure drain versions are available in the same frame if you prefer a different arrangement.
