Airtac HLSL Precision Slide Table Cylinder HLSL12X40S

The AirTAC Airtac HLSL Precision Slide Table Cylinder HLSL12X40S is a genuine HLS slide-table cylinder, 12 mm bore: a double-acting dual-rod air cylinder integrated with a cross-roller guide so the table travels straight with high rigidity and low deflection. It delivers about 85 N of push at 0.5 MPa. This is the symmetrical version. A floating joint spares the rod from side torque; the magnet is fitted as standard.

About the Airtac HLSL Precision Slide Table Cylinder HLSL12X40S

The AirTAC HLSL12X40S is a symmetrical cross-roller slide-table cylinder with a 12 mm bore and 40 mm stroke. The integrated cross-roller linear guide lets the table travel straight with high rigidity and low deflection. Dual rods double the thrust, and a floating joint prevents side torque from reaching the rods. This basic version uses standard bumper cushioning at both ends.

This is a genuine AirTAC part with a standard magnet for position sensing. CMSH, DMSH or EMSH sensor switches mount in the magnetic-switch slots on the body. We confirm thrust, dimensions and allowable load-moment from the AirTAC datasheet or on-page spec table on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC HL slide-table data. Max working pressure is 0.7 MPa. The table rides on an integrated linear guide — do not apply strong impact or large moment. Allowable load and moment are published as tables and curves, and overall dimensions vary per stroke — ask us and we confirm from the datasheet.

How to choose

A 12 mm bore gives moderate thrust in this cross-roller guided slide; select a larger bore when you need more pushing force. The HLS cross-roller guide offers the highest precision and rigidity in the HL family, and the symmetrical HLSL body suits balanced center loads. This basic model has no adjuster - standard bumper cushioning handles end stops. The 40 mm stroke is within the bore 12 range. Ports use PT threads. Contact us for load and moment sizing, which is published as tables and deflection curves.

Applications

precision_manufacturing

Small-Part Positioning

Cross-roller guidance keeps a 40 mm stroke positioning slide accurate for placing small components onto a test or assembly fixture.

Gripper Mount Slide

Mount a gripper to the table and use the 40 mm stroke to extend and retract it into a pick position with cross-roller precision.

FAQ

Does this model include an adjuster or shock absorber?

No. HLSL12X40S is the basic version with standard bumper cushioning at both ends. If you need a shock absorber, select a B-type adjuster code such as BS or BF, which are available on this 12 mm bore.

How do I confirm the load and moment capacity for this slide table?

Allowable load, moment and deflection values are published in the AirTAC datasheet as tables and curves. Contact us and we will confirm the ratings for your specific stroke and mounting orientation.
