The AirTAC Airtac HLSL Precision Slide Table Cylinder HLSL8X30SB is a genuine HLS slide-table cylinder, 8 mm bore: a double-acting dual-rod air cylinder integrated with a cross-roller guide so the table travels straight with high rigidity and low deflection. It delivers about 38 N of push at 0.5 MPa. This is the symmetrical version. A floating joint spares the rod from side torque; the magnet is fitted as standard.
The HLSL8X30SB is a symmetrical cross-roller slide table cylinder: an air cylinder and a precision cross-roller linear guide built into one body, so the table travels straight and resists deflection under load. With an 8mm bore and 30mm stroke it is sized for light to moderate push in compact pick-and-place work. The dual-rod design doubles the thrust of a single rod, and the floating joint lets the workpiece connection absorb small misalignment so the rods take no side torque. The B adjuster code means shock absorbers are fitted at both ends of the travel.
This is a genuine AirTAC part. The magnet is fitted as standard, so position feedback works with CMSH, DMSH or EMSH sensor switches in the magnetic-switch slots on the body. Operating range for the 8mm bore is 0.2-0.7 MPa with air filtered to 40 um, and speed is set between 50 and 500 mm/s. Exact thrust, dimensions and allowable load and moment figures for this stroke are shown in the on-page spec table or datasheet, and we will confirm them on request.

Specifications follow the official AirTAC HL slide-table data. Max working pressure is 0.7 MPa. The table rides on an integrated linear guide — do not apply strong impact or large moment. Allowable load and moment are published as tables and curves, and overall dimensions vary per stroke — ask us and we confirm from the datasheet.
An 8mm bore on the HLSL cross-roller family gives light to moderate thrust; step up to 12, 16, 20 or 25mm bore for more push, since a bigger bore delivers proportionally more force at the same pressure. Choose HLSL when you want the highest precision and rigidity from a cross-roller guide in a symmetrical body that lets you approach the workpiece from either side; pick HLQ for an anti-rust, dust-proof ball-bearing guide, HLH for a miniature roller-ball guide, or HLF when height is limited. Keep the 30mm stroke within the published table for the 8mm bore, and match the thread you order to your fitting standard (blank is PT, G for G, T for NPT). This B version carries shock absorbers at both ends; if you only need one at the extension or retraction side, choose the BS or BF version instead. For allowable load, moment and kinetic energy sizing, contact us - these are published as tables and curves for each bore.
The symmetrical cross-roller table carries a small vacuum gripper or mini gripper through a short 30mm pick stroke with straight, low-deflection motion, and the shock absorbers at both ends settle the table quietly at each stop.
Mounted between two conveyor or bowl-feed stations, the 8mm slide indexes small components laterally; the dual-rod table stays square to the fixture and the floating joint absorbs bracket misalignment.
For light pressing or insertions of pins and bushings, the cross-roller guide keeps the tooling face perpendicular to the part, and end-position shock absorbers damp the arrival at both ends of travel.
The adjuster code tells you where the shock absorbers sit. B means shock absorbers at both ends of the stroke, BS means a shock absorber on the extension side only, and BF means one on the retraction side only. All three share the same 8mm bore, 30mm stroke and cross-roller symmetrical body, so you choose purely by where your load needs cushioning. Note that B-type adjusters are not offered on the 6mm bore.
The maximum working pressure is 0.7 MPa, with an operating range of 0.2-0.7 MPa (29-100 psi) for the 8mm bore and a proof pressure of 1.2 MPa. Meter out the exhaust to control speed within 50-500 mm/s. For exact thrust and the allowable load, moment and kinetic energy for your mounting, use the on-page spec table or ask us to confirm from the datasheet.
