About the Airtac MAC Stainless Steel Mini Air Cylinder MAC16X10SCM
The MAC16X10SCM packs double-acting power with a variable air cushion at both ends into a 16 mm stainless round barrel. At 0.5 MPa it pushes with 100.5 N and pulls 86.4 N, so a 10 mm stroke covers quick ejection or clamping of small parts in tight spots. Aluminium-alloy covers are riveted onto the tube, giving a sealed rolling-packed body.
Because the barrel is stainless steel and the 6 mm rod is hard-chrome plated carbon steel, the cylinder shrugs off washdown and damp shop air that dulls painted minis. Working to about 60 N instead of the full 0.5 MPa rating leaves margin for friction and pressure dip. The built-in magnet is standard, so CMSG, DMSG or EMSG switches clip straight on without a special piston.
