A long-travel member of the MAC range, this 20 mm bore cylinder runs a 250 mm stroke in a riveted round-body barrel - stainless tube, hard-chromed 8 mm carbon-steel rod, aluminium covers rolled on for a sealed joint. It is double acting with a variable air cushion at both ends, so 250 mm of travel can be decelerated gently at each stop instead of hammering the covers. Push force is 157 N at 0.5 MPa (219.8 N at 0.7 MPa), with 1/8" ports.
Because air acts on both faces, the rod also pulls back with 131.9 N at 0.5 MPa. In practice plan on roughly 94 N of usable work at 0.5 MPa, enough to slide a filled carton along a conveyor guide at up to 800 mm/s.
