Built on AirTAC's riveted round-body platform, the MAC40X160SU covers 160 mm of travel with 628 N of push and 528 N of pull at 0.5 MPa. It is double acting - air extends and retracts the rod - and a variable air cushion at each end absorbs the shock of faster cycles.
The U flat-end back cover bolts flat against a machine face, saving bracket work on fixed mounts. Inside, a hard-chrome plated 16 mm rod runs in a stainless barrel, so humidity, coolant mist and light washdown rarely bite into the body.
