About the Airtac MAC Stainless Steel Mini Air Cylinder MAC50X125SCM
Where a pivot eye does not suit the machine, the MAC50X125SCM offers the same 50 mm cushioned platform with a CM round-end back cover for fixed pin mounts. It is double acting - air extends and retracts the rod - and variable air cushions at both ends can be needle-tuned so 30-800 mm/s travel lands soft. Push force at 0.5 MPa is 981 N, pull 881 N, and at 0.7 MPa push reaches 1374 N out of a 200 kgf theoretical ceiling.
A stainless barrel plus a 20 um hard-chrome rod give this mini real corrosion resistance around coolants and outdoor air, unlike painted-steel minis that bubble and flake. Reading the 981 N rating conservatively, plan payloads near 588 N; the same force would hover a 100 kg mass, so with a 2:1 margin expect about 50 kg of vertical lift. The magnet comes fitted as standard - CMSG, DMSG and EMSG switches clip straight on for end-of-stroke signalling.
